Swansea City Tickets

1BoxOffice are now offering Swansea City tickets for all of the clubs home and away matches. Find out live if the Welsh club can match up against its English counterparts! Having remained in the Premier League since their promotion back in 2011, Swansea's 5-0 victory against Bradford City for the Capital One Cup back in 2013, remains a strong reminder for what Swansea City can be capable of, and there's little doubt that this season is sure to be full of excitement for the Swans, especially if you consider the recent takeover that Swansea has experienced. Finishing in last year's Premier League in 12th place, the team may not be worrying about relegation any time soon, but Swansea certainly needs to tighten up if they want to contend with some of the higher-ranking teams!

Based in Swansea's Liberty Stadium, Swansea AFC actually shares the stadium with the Ospreys rugby team. With a capacity of 20,750, despite being the third largest stadium in Wales, it actually stands as the second smallest stadium in the Premier League. However with the stadium having been funded and maintained by the Swansea city council, the stadium has found it difficult to increase its capacity over the years, and only recently has the stadium seen major improvements. In fact, with the stadium having agreed on a sponsorship deal with LG, all of the televisions around the stadium were replaced with 50" LG screens and the south stand is now known as "The LG Stand".

Speaking of the stadium, with a takeover deal having just been approved by the Premier League, Swansea have come into an impressive amount of money! With the deal valued at a reported £110 million, Swansea's new owners (an American conglomerate fronted by Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan) are expected to spend somewhere between £30 million and £50 million on the Liberty stadium! Already the club has begun their campaign to secure themselves as a recognisable force, making a permanent contract for QPR's Leroy Fer! While the Swansea Supporters' Trust still own 21% of the club, it is said that Levien's conglomerate hold an impressive 60% of the club's stakes. With Levien standing as the managing general owner of MLS (Major League Soccer) club DC United, and Kaplan standing as a minority owner of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, the new owners are no doubt looking to Swansea to provide some insight for their own teams back in the US!
