Arsenal: With Arsene Wenger & Without - Will They Ever Return to Their Former Glory?

FC Barcelona is optimistic about returning to Spotify Camp Nou in May 2025 despite delays in its renovation. For now, Barca continues to use the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc, but fans eagerly await the reopening of the legendary Camp Nou.
Due to construction delays, F.C. Barcelona has requested an extension of their agreement with Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM) for using the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc until the end of April 2025. The initial contract expires on March 31, but ensuring matches can continue at Montjuïc gives Barca more flexibility before transitioning back to Spotify Camp Nou.
This extension is vital, as the Estadi Olímpic will host major music events from May, including a Guns N’ Roses concert on June 9. Preparations for these events will make the stadium unavailable for football beyond April.
Barca plans to host its first match at Spotify Camp Nou on May 10-11, 2025, coinciding with the highly anticipated El Clásico. This game will mark the symbolic reopening of the renovated stadium.
Initially, only the two lower tiers will be operational, accommodating 60,000 fans. Full permission to reopen depends on Barcelona Fire Brigade approvals for evacuation and safety plans, along with key milestones like turf installation.
Progress at Spotify Camp Nou is critical to avoiding further delays. By the end of May, the foundation for the third tier must be complete to proceed with the "Big Lift" stage—the three-month process of installing the new roof cabling. Any setback in this phase could postpone the completion of the stadium until the 2026 season, impacting events like the Joan Gamper Trophy and early La Liga fixtures.
UEFA has approved FCB's plan to host Champions League semi-finals at Spotify Camp Nou while earlier rounds take place at Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc. However, all group-stage matches must be played at the same venue, making the knockout phase the earliest opportunity for Barca to return to their home ground.
