Burnley vs West Ham: Can West Ham Stay Unbeaten?

Burnley and West Ham United will play again in the Premier League this Saturday at Turf Moor. With an unbeaten record in their last four matches against Burnley, David Moyes' team aims to continue their good performance.

The last 6 games that Burnley has played were all losses of which the latest was in a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. For instance, Everton triumphed to beat them by 3-0 in FA Cup on November 1. They are currently bottom four with only four points in 12 games. This takes them together with Everton 19th in the Premier League.

However, West Ham United demonstrated courage in beating Nottingham Forest with a score of 3-2 in the latest match. They have managed to win three out of their last four matches under David Moyes and even beat Olympiacos 1-0 last November 9 in the Europa League. This weekend they can level with Newcastle United on points in league nine by winning and take them up to the league seven.

Head-to-Head Statistics

West Ham has the edge in the head-to-head record with Burnley, having won 39 of those 94 matches that they have played together since the first meeting between them in November 1923. The teams have drawn 20 times and Burnley trails it with four fewer victories.

Burnley has just been struggling, with six successive defeats, conceding 17 goals while making three. West Ham has also not been successful in the recent away games. They have lost their last three in all competitions that took place recently. This streak begins from October when they won 2-1 against Freiburg in the Europa League.

Match Schedule

The Burnley vs West Ham United match is set for today, Saturday, November 25, 2023. It will kick off at 3pm GMT and is going to be held at Turf Moor.

Where can you watch?

The 3pm blackout rule will mean that the Burnley vs West Ham match won’t be shown live on TV in the UK. However, you can catch the highlights on Match of the Day, which airs at 10: 20pm GMT on BBC One. Also, Standard Sport’s live blog will keep you up to date with everything happening on the matchday.

Team News

However, Josh Cullen was available after his suspension but failed to feature for Burnley in the clash with Arsenal. Though the participation of Burnley’s manager, Vincent Kompany, is still uncertain, he is likely to start with him in the midfielder lineup during the following games.

However, Lyle Foster is taking a break from football at this time. It was recently disclosed this month that the striker has been undergoing medical procedures of mental health.

Michail Antonio will be on the sidelines as West Ham do not have a player. Antonio had a medial knee ligament damage when playing for Jamaica in the international break. To start with, people feared that he could be unserviceable for most of the 2024 period. Nevertheless, he is likely to be out for just a couple of weeks.
