Denmark 1-2 Spain: European Titleholders Secure Knockout Stage Berth and Group A4 Dominance

Spain have secured their qualification to the UEFA Nations League knockout stages and topped their group after a 2-1 win to Denmark in Denmark. This win takes Spain to the next stage of the tournament and the final Group stage match against Switzerland will not affect their standings. It is a chance for the manager Luis de la Fuente to make some changes in the team and to give some players a break because the team has been riddled with injuries and some of the key players, such as Rodri, had to leave the field for the rest of the season due to the ACL injury.

For Denmark,  the defeat brings an end to a 29-month unbeaten run at home. However, for the next stage of the quarter-final, they are still alive. Switzerland and Serbia played out a draw in the other match in the group, meaning Denmark holds the key to their qualification in the last match.
