Israel vs Switzerland: Can Israel secure their third place today?

At the moment, Israel is positioned in third place in their group, having accumulated a total of eleven points from seven matches. Their upcoming match on Wednesday is crucial as it presents an opportunity for them to narrow the gap with the teams ahead, who are currently four points ahead of them.

On the other hand, Switzerland's performance in their recent Euro qualifying matches hasn't been as strong as expected. In their last match, they played to a 3-3 draw against Belarus, despite having the potential to secure a victory. Their inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities in the opponent's penalty area was the key factor that prevented them from winning.

First-half begins!!!

Israel’s player, Ramzi Safouri, had gotten a free kick that took place in their defensive half during the 1st minute.
Thereafter, there was a foul from Denis Zakaria of Switzerland.
The 2nd minute saw an effort from Denis Zakaria’s right foot outside the box which was blocked. This was done with help of Ruben Vargas.

Denis Zakaria of Switzerland missed an attempted header into the net at the 5th minute. Rubén Vargas’s cross and subsequent corner effort proved too lofty.
During the 7th minute, another important development occurred whereby Rubén Vargas took a shot using his right foot from the center of the box and into the bottom left corner. For this attempt, the assist was given by Manuel Akanji.
Moreover, in the seventh minute, Israel gave another corner to Switzerland which Eli Dasa confessed it.

The 23rd minute saw a miss by Sean Goldberg of Israel on a header from the centre of the box that went to the right side. His move was supported by a cross by Ramzi Safouri that traveled behind the post.
This gave a free kick in the defense, Granit Xhaka from Switzerland.

Then, in the 49th minute, Switzerland’s Ricardo Rodríguez conceded a corner for Israel.
In the 52nd minute, Israel was awarded a yellow card for their player, Ofir Davidzada.
At the 55th minute, Dor Turgeman from Israel scored a free kick on the left side.
The free take resulted from a foul by Edimilson Fernandes of Switzerland.
At 58th minute, Israel’s Mohamed Abu Fani won a free kick in defence.
Failed foul by Remo Freuler from Switzerland.
The other team member, Raz Shlomo of Israel, also fouled.
This foul against Raz Shlomo earned Noah Okafor, a Swiss player, a free kick awarded to him on the defensive side.

The problem of delay caused by injury was finally settled down, and the play could be resumed.
Dan Ndoye, representing Switzerland, earned a free kick in 90’ + 6” of their defensive half.
The free kick was as a result of a foul by Raz Shlomo from Israel.
