Mazraoui expressed his excitement about joining the Red Devils: “I feel pride being a Manchester United player and to play at Old Trafford is something I look forward to and now to be working with Erik ten Hag again at this stage in my career is exciting.”
The signing of De Ligt and Mazraoui arrived at the right time for United after the club only managed an eighth-place finish in the previous Premier League season. They may both be in United’s first match of the new season against Fulham if their registrations are processed before the team’s next match.
