Despite a 2-2 draw against Wolves in their last outing, the Magpies are high on confidence after a remarkable 3-0 away win against Manchester United in the midweek Carabao Cup fixture. - In the 29th minute, a golden opportunity for Newcastle! Guimaraes sends a high ball to the back post, where Burn heads it back across the goal. - In the 45+2 minute, Martinelli shows some skill as he cuts inside off the left past Trippier. Despite having options in the box, he opts to take a shot, but it's a tame effort that goes straight into the waiting gloves of Pope.
- In the 45+4 minute, Almiron and Trippier link up again, and Trippier's cross leaves Raya in a vulnerable position. However, Saliba rises confidently and clears the danger with a strong defensive header.

- In the 47th minute, Arsenal initiates a counter-attack, with Rice creating space for Martinelli. Martinelli tries to go around Livramento on the outside, but the Newcastle substitute does well to shield the ball and deny Arsenal a corner.
