Spectacular New Marbella Football Stadium Unveiled

Representatives of Marbella Football Club and Marbella Council have unveiled the stunning designs for the new Marbella football stadium, set to be a landmark in the city.

Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, applauded the Marbella CF Foundation for their ambitious project proposal. This comprehensive plan includes both the demolition of the old stadium and complete funding for the construction of the new state-of-the-art facility.

Iconic New Design

The new stadium's iconic design will require an investment of between 115 and 130 million euros. It will boast a capacity for 10,000 fans, 1,000 parking spaces, a high-performance centre, a sports hotel with more than 90 rooms, a commercial area, and the creation of between 1,600 and 2,300 new jobs.

To ensure the stadium meets the highest standards, the Foundation has consulted with key organizations and institutions such as FIFA, UEFA, and RFEF. This will allow the new Marbella stadium to host some of the World Cup 2030 games in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, as well as other major events such as musical performances and shows.

Stadium Ready for 2026

According to Mayor Muñoz, the demolition of the old Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas stadium and the construction of the new one are expected to begin this year, 2024. Marbella FC is anticipated to start playing in the new stadium by 2026.
