Wolves vs Burnley: Can Wolves claim victory?

Burnley are very confident ahead of Tuesday’s game. It was a big win for them as they recently beat Sheffield United 5-0. That win lifted them off the bottom of the Premier League table. The win is important because not many relegation contenders win convincingly. The last time that happened was back in 1997.

Burnley had lost nine consecutive home games at Turf Moor, which they finally won. They finished bottom of all 92 clubs in the top four tiers of the English Football League.

Vincent Kompany’s side played well and managed 19 shots against Sheffield United. They got off to a good start with Jay Rodriguez scoring after just 15 seconds of play.

Arsenal began their 2023-24 season with rare speed as they faced Wolves at the Emirates. With goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard in the first 13 minutes, they were able to take a 2-0 lead.

However, Arsenal also missed several chances and Wolves took advantage of a defensive error to score in the second half. As a result, Arsenal had to protect their lead when the game was over.

Although Wolves tried to cause some panic in Arsenal’s nerves, Arsenal came through the tough game with a hard-fought win. Wolves manager O’Neill was not only happy with his team’s performance but also criticised Arsenal for some time-wasting tactics.

However, Arsenal’s recent form has not been impressive despite their good league form. In their last four Premier League games, they have lost three and have dropped thirteen places in the league. They are also close to relegation and as time goes on, other games could push them down.

However, Wolves have been involved in high-scoring games. It was their 12th consecutive game in which they have scored at both ends of the pitch against Arsenal. However, they have not lost at home in the Premier League in their last four games.

Team news: Wolves v Burnley

Wolves had some difficulties during the first half when they played Arsenal. First-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa had to be replaced in the 23rd minute with a back problem. It is believed his problem is not too serious. Daniel Bentley could come on as a substitute if needed. There are also concerns over left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri who missed the game against Arsenal with a swollen ankle. However, Pedro Neto (groin) and Joe Hodge (shoulder) are officially listed as non-travelers.

Manager O’Neill has not explained why Jonny has been absent from the squad over the weekend. Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes, who are suspended, are expected to feature again in midfield.

However, on Burnley's part, their convincing 5-0 win over Sheffield United was marred by the fact that defender Jordan Bayer picked up his fifth Premier League card of the season leaving him suspended and therefore unavailable for the subsequent match at Molineux.
