Wolves’ vs Burnley: Can Wolves Make It To Victory?

Burnley is very confident ahead of the game to be played on Tuesday. It was a big victory for them because they beat Sheffield by 5-0 recently. This win took them off the bottom spot on the premier table. The win is significant because not so many relegation battlers win so convincingly. This last time it occurred dates back to 1997.

Burnley had lost for nine consecutive home matches at Turf Moor, which came to an end when they finally won this victory. They finished as the last winner among all 92 clubs occupying the first four echelons of the English football league. Vincent Kompany’s team played well and managed to make 19 shots against Sheffield United. They were off to a good start as Jay Rodríguez made the first goal only 15 seconds in the game.

Arsenal began with rare speed their 2023-24 season when they faced off with Wolves at the Emirates ground. With two goals scored by Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard within the first 13 minutes, they managed to take a 2-0 lead.

Despite this, Arsenal missed several opportunities as well and Wolves took advantage of an error in their defense to make a goal in the second half. Arsenal were, therefore, forced to protect their lead when the game ended.

Though Wolves tried to put some scare on Arsenal’s nerves, Arsenal went through the tough game with the hard-earned victory. Wolves’ manager O’Neil was not only pleased with his team’s performance but also criticised Arsenal for some time-wasting tactics.

Nevertheless, Arsenal’s recent form has not been impressive despite their good run in the League. In the last four premier league matches, they have lost three while their ranking in the league has dropped to thirteen positions. They are also closer to the relegation and with time, other matches may push them downwards.

However, Wolves have been participating in high-scoring games. It was their 12th successive game with goals both at the back and front, against Arsenal. However, they have been on a streak of never losing at their home ground in the Premier league in the last four matches.

Team News: Wolves vs Burnley

Wolves experienced some difficulties during the first half when playing against Arsenal. Jose Sa had to be replaced by first-choice goalkeeper in the 23rd minute because of back problem. It is thought that his problem is not so serious. Daniel Bentley can come in as a replacement if required. Left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri has also raised some concerns as he was absent during the game against the Arsenal because of a swollen ankle. Nevertheless, Pedro Neto (thigh) and Joe Hodge (shoulder) are both officially listed as non-travellers.

O’Neil, the manager, did not explain about Jonny’s absence from the squad on weekends. Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes, who are under suspension, are expected to reappear on the midfield. However, on Burnley’s side, their convincing 5-0 triumph against Sheffield United was marred by the fact that defender Jordan Beyer received his fifth Premiership league card of this season which leaves him suspended and thus unavailable for the subsequent match at Moline.
