Buy Atalanta vs Bologna tickets for the 2026/27 season: kick-off is 20:45 on Monday 31 August 2026 at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo. The ground is worth knowing about before you buy. Bergamo finished a five-year phased rebuild in September 2024, replacing all four sides while the club kept playing, and the result is a tight 23,439-capacity bowl with seats close to the pitch and no running track. Demand for Atalanta tickets has followed the improvement: the 2026/27 season ticket campaign sold out inside twenty-four hours in July.
Two things about this fixture in particular need saying up front. Home sector sales opened on 19 August. The away allocation did not, because the national sports safety body suspended its decision on this match, and until it rules there are no away tickets on sale at all.
Start with the demand side. Atalanta sell out season tickets in a day, and season ticket holders hold priority on their own seat for every home match, so what reaches general sale is genuinely what is left over. On a 23,439-capacity ground that is a thin pool before a single visiting supporter is counted.
Then the complication. On 18 August the Osservatorio Nazionale sulle Manifestazioni Sportive, the interior ministry body that assesses risk at Italian matches, listed this fixture among those where it suspends judgement pending further analysis, and instructed that ticket sales should not begin and fidelity programme sign-ups stay on hold. Atalanta's own match page says the away sector is awaiting instructions from the authorities, and interest in Bologna tickets has nowhere to go while that holds.
There is a second restriction layered on top. Residents of Emilia-Romagna may buy only in the away sector for this match, which means that while the suspension stands, a Bologna supporter living in the region cannot legitimately buy anywhere in the ground. A follow-up determination is expected before matchday, so the position may well change, but nobody should book travel on the assumption that it will.
In two sectors, yes. Everywhere else, no. Atalanta run a fidelity card called the Dea Card, which costs twenty euros, lasts five years and carries your ticket digitally. Only the Curva Nord Pisani and the Curva Sud Morosini still sell traditional paper tickets that work without one, and those are the two least expensive parts of the ground.
The catch for a visitor is timing. You cannot buy or renew a Dea Card on a matchday, and if you order one online the physical card is posted to you with a PDF standing in until it arrives. Anyone flying in for a single game and wanting a Tribuna seat needs to have sorted the card well in advance or accept a curva ticket instead.
None of this requires club membership in the way a Spanish socio scheme does. There is no ballot and no closed queue: home sectors went on general sale at 10:00 on Wednesday 19 August and stay on sale until kick-off subject to availability. What limits you is inventory and the card, not eligibility.
The club also runs its own seat resale portal, where season ticket holders list seats they cannot use from six days before a match until forty-eight hours out. Those seats flow back into normal sale, which is why refreshing availability in the final week is often more productive than assuming a fixture has gone. Five things move the price: which sector you pick, whether you buy in advance or on the day, whether the ticket carries hospitality, how much the season ticket base has already absorbed and how close to kick-off you leave it. Two observations worth having before you compare listings. Atalanta do not price by opponent, so a curva ticket costs twenty-four euros whoever visits, which means every euro of resale premium is scarcity rather than club pricing. And the matchday penalty is real and uneven: one euro more in the curve, but fifteen more in the Tribuna Rinascimento and twenty more for Pitch View. Buying early is worth more here than at most grounds.
Atalanta print lettered sector codes on every ticket, and knowing which letter belongs to which stand saves a lot of confusion at the turnstile. The curve run A to C at the north end and H to I at the south, the east side is D to G, the away blocks are L and the west side runs M through S with X and Y in the centre. Neutral buyers should look at the Tribuna Rinascimento first and the Tribuna Ovest second. Both are covered, both give you the length of the pitch and neither puts you among the tifo in the curve. If the budget is tight, a curva ticket at twenty-four euros is exceptional value for a ground this good, provided you accept that you are there for the noise rather than a clear sightline.
On segregation, Atalanta publish no written ban on visiting colours in home areas, so ignore any page that claims one. What the ground regulations do say is that you must enter by the gate printed on your ticket, occupy your assigned seat, and that anyone who buys in breach of the rules separating the two sets of supporters can be removed even after passing the turnstile. Two caveats. Season-long hospitality is sold separately and priced very differently, with Legends Club season tickets running into the thousands per seat, and the Business Hospitality and Skybox corporate products are enquiry-only with no published rate. And a Legends Club season ticket covers the nineteen league matches only, so the seat carries over to cup and European nights but the catering does not.

Atalanta have hosted Bologna fourteen times in Serie A at this ground and won nine of them, scoring twenty-four goals against ten. On the raw numbers it looks one-sided. The recent record says something quite different: Bologna have won three of the last four visits to Bergamo, having won none of the first ten.
