The ground is worth knowing about before you buy. Bergamo finished a five-year phased rebuild in September 2024, replacing all four sides while the club kept playing, and the result is a tight 23,439-capacity bowl with seats close to the pitch and no running track. Demand for Atalanta tickets has followed the improvement: the 2026/27 season ticket campaign sold out inside twenty-four hours in July.

Two things about this fixture in particular need saying up front. Home sector sales opened on 19 August. The away allocation did not, because the national sports safety body suspended its decision on this match, and until it rules there are no away tickets on sale at all.

A Monday Night With an Unusual Complication

Start with the demand side. Atalanta sell out season tickets in a day, and season ticket holders hold priority on their own seat for every home match, so what reaches general sale is genuinely what is left over. On a 23,439-capacity ground that is a thin pool before a single visiting supporter is counted.

Then the complication. On 18 August the Osservatorio Nazionale sulle Manifestazioni Sportive, the interior ministry body that assesses risk at Italian matches, listed this fixture among those where it suspends judgement pending further analysis, and instructed that ticket sales should not begin and fidelity programme sign-ups stay on hold. Atalanta's own match page says the away sector is awaiting instructions from the authorities, and interest in Bologna tickets has nowhere to go while that holds.

There is a second restriction layered on top. Residents of Emilia-Romagna may buy only in the away sector for this match, which means that while the suspension stands, a Bologna supporter living in the region cannot legitimately buy anywhere in the ground. A follow-up determination is expected before matchday, so the position may well change, but nobody should book travel on the assumption that it will.

Can You Buy Atalanta vs Bologna Tickets Without a Dea Card?

In two sectors, yes. Everywhere else, no. Atalanta run a fidelity card called the Dea Card, which costs twenty euros, lasts five years and carries your ticket digitally. Only the Curva Nord Pisani and the Curva Sud Morosini still sell traditional paper tickets that work without one, and those are the two least expensive parts of the ground.

The catch for a visitor is timing. You cannot buy or renew a Dea Card on a matchday, and if you order one online the physical card is posted to you with a PDF standing in until it arrives. Anyone flying in for a single game and wanting a Tribuna seat needs to have sorted the card well in advance or accept a curva ticket instead.

None of this requires club membership in the way a Spanish socio scheme does. There is no ballot and no closed queue: home sectors went on general sale at 10:00 on Wednesday 19 August and stay on sale until kick-off subject to availability. What limits you is inventory and the card, not eligibility.

The club also runs its own seat resale portal, where season ticket holders list seats they cannot use from six days before a match until forty-eight hours out. Those seats flow back into normal sale, which is why refreshing availability in the final week is often more productive than assuming a fixture has gone. When that runs dry, a marketplace is the remaining route.

What You'll Pay and Why

Five things move the price: which sector you pick, whether you buy in advance or on the day, whether the ticket carries hospitality, how much the season ticket base has already absorbed and how close to kick-off you leave it. Atalanta published the grid for this match on 17 August. Full prices run from twenty-four euros in either curva to one hundred euros for a pitch-level seat, with under-16 rates several euros below each, and the club notes that Tribuna and Parterre full prices are subject to dynamic pricing.

Ticket Type Resale Price Range Best For Notes
Curva Nord Pisani or Curva Sud Morosini €45 – €95 Atmosphere and the lowest outlay Club price €24, or €18 for under-16s. The only two sectors that still issue traditional paper tickets without a Dea Card.
Parterre Rinascimento €60 – €120 Pitchside viewing on a budget Club price €38. The lower, uncovered strip of the east side, so watch the forecast for a late-August evening.
Tribuna Ovest or Tribuna Rinascimento G €75 – €150 A balanced seated option Club price €45. Buying either at the ground on the day costs €60 instead, a fifteen-euro penalty for leaving it late.
Tribuna Rinascimento €95 – €210 Covered central seating on the east side Club price €60, rising to €75 on the day. The rebuilt east stand, the newest general seating in the ground.
Tribuna Onore, Pitch View and hospitality €145 – €250 Premium seats and matchday guests Club prices €90 and €100 for the seats. Single-match hospitality runs from €145 with the Legends Club up to €250 in the Tribuna VIP.

Prices reflect typical resale ranges and may change as demand and availability shift closer to the match.

Two observations worth having before you compare listings. Atalanta do not price by opponent, so a curva ticket costs twenty-four euros whoever visits, which means every euro of resale premium is scarcity rather than club pricing. And the matchday penalty is real and uneven: one euro more in the curve, but fifteen more in the Tribuna Rinascimento and twenty more for Pitch View. Buying early is worth more here than at most grounds.

Reading the New Balance Arena Sector by Sector

Atalanta print lettered sector codes on every ticket, and knowing which letter belongs to which stand saves a lot of confusion at the turnstile. The curve run A to C at the north end and H to I at the south, the east side is D to G, the away blocks are L and the west side runs M through S with X and Y in the centre. The New Balance Arena seating plan is the quickest way to place a code before you commit.

Area What It Suits Pricing Bracket Guidance
Curva Nord Pisani, blocks A to C The loudest home support Lowest The ultra end, rebuilt first and reopened in October 2019. Flags and tifo obstruct the view from parts of it.
Curva Sud Morosini, blocks H and I Home support at a lower price Lowest The newest stand in the ground, finished for 2024/25. Sits directly alongside the away corner.
Parterre Rinascimento, blocks D to F lower Being close to the pitch Lower to mid The only uncovered part of the ground. Excellent proximity, no shelter.
Tribuna Rinascimento, blocks D to G upper A clean covered view of the whole pitch Mid to upper The rebuilt east side, opened October 2020. The G blocks at its southern end are sold as their own lower-priced band.
Tribuna Ovest, Onore and Pitch View, blocks M to S plus X and Y Central premium viewing and hospitality Upper The main stand side. Pitch View is a strip of roughly 400 seats at pitch level, level with the benches.
Settore Ospiti, blocks L01 to L03 Bologna supporters Suspended for this match The south-west corner, 1,304 certified seats plus eight wheelchair platforms and eight companion places. Covered, with its own gate and car park.

Neutral buyers should look at the Tribuna Rinascimento first and the Tribuna Ovest second. Both are covered, both give you the length of the pitch and neither puts you among the tifo in the curve. If the budget is tight, a curva ticket at twenty-four euros is exceptional value for a ground this good, provided you accept that you are there for the noise rather than a clear sightline.

On segregation, Atalanta publish no written ban on visiting colours in home areas, so ignore any page that claims one. What the ground regulations do say is that you must enter by the gate printed on your ticket, occupy your assigned seat, and that anyone who buys in breach of the rules separating the two sets of supporters can be removed even after passing the turnstile. Combined with the regional residency rule, that is the control that matters. The guide to New Balance Arena tickets covers access and facilities in more depth.

Matchday With the Extras

The rebuild gave Atalanta a hospitality offer they did not previously have, and unusually for an Italian club they publish single-match prices for it rather than hiding everything behind an enquiry form. Areas open before kick-off and at half time.

Hospitality Option Typical Buyer Main Appeal
Legends Club, Tribuna Ovest or Rinascimento G Fans upgrading from a standard seat The entry point at €145 for this match, pairing a premium seat with buffet catering before kick-off and at the interval.
Pitch View with Legends Club Guests who want to be level with the benches €185 for this fixture. A pitch-level seat in the strip created when the perimeter barrier came out, plus the lounge access.
Sky Box Rinascimento Small groups and companies €220 for this fixture. A private box on the roof line of the rebuilt east stand, with hostess service and dedicated catering.
Tribuna VIP Corporate hosts €250 for this fixture, the top single-match tier, with central seating and full hospitality service.

Two caveats. Season-long hospitality is sold separately and priced very differently, with Legends Club season tickets running into the thousands per seat, and the Business Hospitality and Skybox corporate products are enquiry-only with no published rate. And a Legends Club season ticket covers the nineteen league matches only, so the seat carries over to cup and European nights but the catering does not.

If the appeal is the view rather than the food, the Tribuna Rinascimento at sixty euros gives you the covered central east-side position without any hospitality attached, which is the seat most people picture when they think of watching a match in Bergamo.

Getting Your Ticket and Getting Through the Turnstile

Italian entry rules apply in full here, and Atalanta add a layer of their own. Tickets are nominative, you must show identification matching the name at the gate, and where a determination requires it you may also need the physical Dea Card in your hand rather than a PDF. The safety body's standing rule is that the identification has to show your address, which an Italian driving licence does not.

Delivery Type What to Confirm
Digital ticket loaded to a Dea Card That the physical card will reach you before you travel. A PDF stands in for it while it is in the post, and for some matches only the card itself admits you.
Traditional paper ticket That the sector is Curva Nord or Curva Sud, because those are the only two that issue paper. Everywhere else the ticket is tied to a card.
Mobile transfer from the seller Whether a name change is actually available. The club's name-change window opens at 10:00 the day before the match and can be suspended by the authorities without notice.
Local collection in Bergamo The Ticketing Point hours. It sits beside the club store on the stadium approach and opens four hours before kick-off on a matchday.

Read the seller notes before paying, because the name on the ticket decides whether you get in. A full-price ticket can be reassigned to anyone through the club portal, but a reduced one can only pass to somebody entitled to the same rate, and student and disability tickets cannot be transferred at all.

Gates open two hours before kick-off. A limited traffic zone runs from two hours before until thirty minutes after the start, so the ground is effectively public transport only on a matchday, and the underground car park at Piazzale Goisis closes for a long window either side of the match. Cameras, video equipment, power banks, any electronic device larger than a phone, lighters and pushchairs are all refused, and plastic bottles are admitted only with the cap removed. Atalanta publish no bag size limit, so any page quoting one for this ground has invented it.

From Search to Seat in Eight Steps

1BoxOffice has operated as a verified marketplace since 2006, with every order covered by a 150% money-back guarantee.

Step1

Establish which sectors you can actually use
If you have no Dea Card, that means the Curva Nord or the Curva Sud. If you are resident in Emilia-Romagna, the home sectors are closed to you for this match entirely.

Step2

Set up your account
Take a minute to create an account before comparing listings, so your details are stored and nothing delays you when something you want appears.

Step3

Translate the sector code
Listings often quote a letter and number. A and C blocks are the north curva, D to G the east side, H and I the south curva, M to S the west side, and L is the away corner.

Step4

Filter by quantity before price
Set how many seats you need at the outset. General availability at this ground is thin because the season ticket base is large, so listings that cannot be split will waste your time.

Step5

Read the listing notes properly
Seller notes carry the detail that decides the purchase: the delivery method, whether the seats are together and whether the ticket is a full or reduced rate.

Step6

Give the attendee details exactly
Italian tickets carry the holder's name and it is verified at the gate. Enter each name precisely as it appears on the document that person will bring.

Step7

Complete payment securely
Pay through the platform rather than directly to a seller. Your confirmation arrives by email within minutes and carries the reference for everything that follows.

Step8

Follow the order to delivery
Use track order to watch the status move from confirmed to delivered, and raise anything that looks wrong in the days before the match rather than on the Monday.

How Smart Buyers Pay Less

Flying In for the Match

Bergamo is straightforward once you are in Lombardy. Milan Bergamo airport at Orio al Serio sits a few kilometres from the ground and connects to the city on a direct bus, and Milan itself is around fifty minutes by train from Milano Centrale with services running roughly hourly into the late evening. The stadium is about two kilometres from Bergamo railway station, a walk of half an hour, or a short ride on a city bus.

Be aware that the two published bus routes disagree. The club directs supporters to line 9 from the bus station beside the railway terminus, while the league's own supporter guide routes you to Via Camozzi and line 6 towards San Colombano. Both end up walking distance from the ground, so use whichever the live timetable favours on the night. With a 20:45 Monday kick-off and the traffic zone in force, public transport is the plan rather than a fallback.

For delivery, favour something that reaches you electronically and settle the Dea Card question before you travel, because the card cannot be bought at the ground on a matchday. Give attendee names carefully at purchase, since the name change window does not open until the morning before the match. If you are planning the return trip too, the Bologna vs Atalanta tickets page covers the reverse meeting on 24 January 2027.

Ten Unbeaten, Then Three Defeats in Four

Atalanta have hosted Bologna fourteen times in Serie A at this ground and won nine of them, scoring twenty-four goals against ten. On the raw numbers it looks one-sided. The recent record says something quite different: Bologna have won three of the last four visits to Bergamo, having won none of the first ten.

The turning point was 8 April 2023. Until that afternoon Atalanta had gone eight wins and two draws in ten home league meetings with Bologna, a run stretching back to 2012. Bologna won 2-0.

In the four fixtures since, they have taken Bergamo twice more, including the most recent meeting in May 2026. That is the sharpest reversal in the fixture's modern history, and it tracks Bologna's own rise from mid-table to a club that finished a place behind Atalanta last season. Their home at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara holds more than 36,000, half as many again as Bergamo.

Key Moments at the Bergamo Ground (2012 to Present)

What gives the 2026/27 edition its weight is proximity in the table. Seventh played eighth last season, three points apart, and both start this campaign with the same target of getting back among the European places. A Monday night in a rebuilt 23,000-seat ground between two clubs that close is a better ticket than the neutral billing suggests.

Quick Answers Before You Buy

Are away tickets on sale for this match?

  • Not at the time of writing. The national safety body suspended its decision on this fixture on 18 August and told the league not to begin away sales until it rules.

What is a Dea Card and do I need one?

  • It is Atalanta's twenty-euro fidelity card, valid five years, that carries your ticket digitally. You need one for every sector except the two curve, which still issue paper.

Can I change the name on a ticket?

  • Through the club portal, and only from 10:00 the day before the match. Reduced tickets can pass only to somebody entitled to the same rate, and some categories cannot move at all.

Which sector gives the best view for the money?

  • The Rinascimento G band on the rebuilt east side, at forty-five euros rather than sixty for the main Rinascimento. Covered, central enough, and the same stand.

How do I get to the ground on a Monday night?

  • By city bus from near the railway station, or on foot in about half an hour. A traffic restriction operates around the ground from two hours before kick-off, so driving is not practical.
