2025/26 Conference League Final: Crystal Palace v Rayo Vallecano

This is the fifth Conference League final and the second under the expanded 36-team league phase. The 2026 decider involves two clubs that have never lifted a European trophy. Crystal Palace, founded in 1905, are from Croydon in south London. Their only previous UEFA appearance was in the 1998 Intertoto Cup. Rayo Vallecano, founded in 1924, are from the Vallecas district of Madrid. Their only previous UEFA campaign was the 2000/01 UEFA Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals before losing to Spanish rivals Alavés.

CoachesOliver Glasner (Palace), Íñigo Pérez (Rayo)
Reward for winnerThe UEFA Conference League trophy plus a 2026/27 UEFA Europa League league phase place

Glasner brings a European pedigree from his 2022 Europa League win with Eintracht Frankfurt. Pérez has built Rayo's run on a tight defensive structure and a sharp transition game, eliminating Strasbourg without conceding across the semi-final. The "home" team designation is administrative only because the final is at a neutral venue.

Red Bull Arena (Leipzig Stadium): The 2026 Final Venue

The stadium is the home of RB Leipzig and stands in the north-west of the city. UEFA strips sponsor names from tournament venues, which is why the Red Bull Arena appears as Leipzig Stadium in match-day signage and broadcast graphics. It hosted five matches at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and four at UEFA EURO 2024, including the dramatic 1-1 Group B draw between Croatia and Italy decided by Mattia Zaccagni's stoppage-time equaliser. Browse the venue and event listings on the Red Bull Arena tickets page and review the stand-by-stand layout on the Red Bull Arena seating plan.

Getting to the stadium

Leipzig/Halle Airport sits about 20km from the city centre, with rail and bus connections taking around 15 minutes to Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, one of Europe's largest railway stations. Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich all run high-speed ICE services into Leipzig. From the city centre, the stadium is reachable by tram lines 3, 7 and 8 to Sportforum or Waldplatz. Walking from the Hauptbahnhof takes around 25 minutes.

Bag policy and entry

UEFA finals typically restrict bags to A4 size or smaller. Large bags, laptops, glass containers and selfie sticks are not permitted. Allow at least 90 minutes from arriving at the security perimeter to your seat. Gates open around three hours before kick-off.

2025/26 Conference League Final Ticket Prices

Resale market prices for the final move are determined by supply and demand. Indicative bands across the four UEFA seating categories are below. Listings change daily, and the figures below are not fixed prices.

Seating categoryIndicative resale range (GBP)
Category 4 (behind goals, upper tier)£100 - £250
Category 3 (corners and end stands)£200 - £400
Category 2 (side stands, upper)£300 - £600
Category 1 (side stands, lower)£500 - £900
Premium hospitality (where available)£1,500 - £3,000+

Final pricing typically firms in the last 72 hours before kick-off as remaining inventory clears. Across the knockout stages, quarter-final resale prices ranged roughly £30 to £350 per leg, with semi-final prices in the £50 to £400 range. Palace's English fanbase pushed semi-final demand into the upper end of that range. Compare seat positions side-by-side rather than chasing the lowest tier without checking the view.

2025/26 Conference League Hospitality Packages

Hospitality at the Leipzig final and at remaining domestic and continental fixtures generally includes padded or club-level seating, a private lounge with food and drink, pre-match catering and dedicated entry. Inventory at finals tends to clear earliest in the buying cycle.

Hospitality tierTypical resale range (GBP)
Entry-level hospitality£500 - £1,000
Mid-range hospitality£1,000 - £2,000
Premium hospitality (Leipzig final)£2,000 - £4,000+

Road to the Leipzig Final: Knockout Recap

Two clubs with debut European finals, two contrasting routes through the bracket. Palace conceded just three goals across six knockout matches. Rayo overcame a stunning second-leg collapse to AEK Athens before sealing both semi-final legs with the same 1-0 scoreline against Strasbourg.

Sarr has now scored in all four of Palace's two-legged knockout ties this season. In semi-final 2, Alemão scored in both legs, with Augusto Batalla saving a 90th-minute penalty from Julio Enciso to seal Rayo's progression. Crystal Palace in the 2025/26 Conference League

Crystal Palace are in the Conference League rather than the Europa League due to UEFA's multi-club ownership ruling. Palace initially qualified for the Europa League by winning the 2024/25 FA Cup. UEFA then determined that Palace and Lyon, who also qualified for the Europa League, were part of the same multi-club ownership structure before 1 March 2025. Lyon, having finished higher in their domestic league, retained the Europa League berth. Palace's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport was rejected on 11 August 2025, and they were placed in the Conference League. Oliver Glasner's side finished 10th in the league phase, then beat Zrinjski Mostar (3-1), AEK Larnaca (2-1 aet), Fiorentina (4-2) and Shakhtar Donetsk (5-2) to reach Leipzig. Ismaïla Sarr has been the leading attacking influence across the knockout rounds. For Premier League fixtures and remaining domestic dates, see Crystal Palace tickets.

Rayo Vallecano in the 2025/26 Conference League

Rayo entered their first European final in 102 years as a club. Founded in May 1924, the Madrid side qualified for the Conference League through their La Liga finish in 2024/25, made it through the qualifying rounds and finished the league phase in a position that booked their R16 spot. Íñigo Pérez's side eliminated Samsunspor, AEK Athens and Strasbourg with a tightly drilled defensive game built around captain Isi Palazón, defender Florian Lejeune and forwards Alemão, Sergio Camello and Jorge de Frutos. The Estadio de Vallecas, their 14,708-capacity home, has been the bedrock of their European run. For La Liga and continental fixtures, browse Rayo Vallecano tickets or visit the Estadio de Vallecas tickets page.

Unlike the Champions League and Europa League, no clubs transfer into the Conference League from the league phase of higher competitions. This was a change introduced with the 2024/25 format overhaul. The away goals rule was abolished by UEFA from 2021/22, so ties level on aggregate go to extra time and penalties.

Conference League Tickets Without a Club Allocation

Club ticket allocations for the final are split between the two competing sides and the UEFA-administered public ballot, both heavily oversubscribed. Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano have informed their members and season-ticket holders of allocation processes, but supply is limited. 1BoxOffice is a third-party resale marketplace, which means inventory sits outside the clubs' or UEFA's own channels. The advantage is that you can compare listings without needing a club membership, see seat locations before you commit and use the 150% guarantee as a safety net if the delivery fails.

Conference League Tickets for International Fans

The Conference League's geographic spread makes it an appealing competition for travelling supporters. Matches across the season covered cities from London to Athens, Hamburg to Florence, with the final landing in Leipzig. 1BoxOffice allows fans to compare and buy tickets from anywhere in the world without needing a club membership or a local address. If you are travelling from outside the EU, check whether Germany requires a Schengen visa for your nationality, plan rail or air connections into Leipzig in advance and review the delivery method on each listing. Match-day kick-offs are 21:00 CET, equivalent to 20:00 BST.

Four different clubs have won the Conference League in its first four editions. English clubs are the most successful nation with two titles (West Ham 2023, Chelsea 2025). Chelsea's victory made them the first club in history to have won all of UEFA's major men's club trophies: the Champions League, the Cup Winners' Cup, the Super Cup, the Europa League and the Conference League. Fiorentina hold the record of being the only club to have lost two Conference League finals (2023 and 2024) and reached the quarter-finals for the fourth consecutive season this year.
