Buy Bayern Munich tickets without membership and the club's ticket draw is the one door you can ignore. On 28 August 2026 FC Bayern confirmed that every Bundesliga home game of 2026/27 was already overbooked, with at least twice as many requests as there are available places at the Allianz Arena and more than 330,000 for the visit of Borussia Dortmund alone. Those tickets are drawn among members and fan clubs, so a visitor who starts with the request form has usually lost before the flights are booked.

Article Summary: Non-members can attend FC Bayern home games in 2026/27, but rarely through the members' draw. Realistic routes are the club's Ticket Exchange once it opens to all fans, a hospitality day ticket from €400 (£339), an authorised match-and-hotel package or a verified resale marketplace. Since August 2026, every route requires a digital ticket managed through the FC Bayern app or Allianz Arena app.

  • Bundesliga face value at the Allianz Arena runs from €15 (£13) standing to €80 (£68) in Category 1 for 2026/27, according to FC Bayern's price list as of October 2026.
  • FC Bayern's Ticket Exchange charges face value plus a 15% booking fee and a system fee, which for Bundesliga games is €2 on Category 5 and €5 on Categories 1 to 4 as of October 2026. The Exchange closes three hours before kick-off.
  • Adult FC Bayern membership costs €65 (£55) for 2026/27 plus a one-off €3 joining fee, and it buys entry to the ticket draw, not a seat.
  • Tickets are issued digitally in 2026/27 and must be managed through the FC Bayern app or Allianz Arena app. PDF tickets and screenshots are not valid for entry.
  • FC Bayern has more than 450,000 members as of October 2026, about six for every place in the 75,024-capacity Allianz Arena.

None of this means Munich is closed to you. It means the order of questions is different from England or Spain: settle how the ticket will reach your phone first, then the price. If your dates are fixed and you would rather not gamble on match-week returns, Bayern Munich tickets from verified sellers can be compared on 1BoxOffice before you commit to travel.

Seven Routes Into the Allianz Arena, Side by Side

An infographic set on an entrance bridge leading to the illuminated Allianz Arena. It illustrates seven ticket access pathways with color-coded lanes: Members' Draw, Online Sale, Ticket Exchange, VIP Hospitality (€400–€700), Match-Break Package + Hotel, Fan Club Allocation, and Verified Resale.

The seven routes below are not equal. The first is shut to non-members in practice. It is also the one most guides send you to first, while each of the others carries a catch. Prices are per person as of October 2026.

Route Open to non-members? Cost Main catch
Members' ticket draw Not in practice: drawn among members and fan clubs Face value, €15 to €80 Allocated around four to six weeks before the match
Direct online sale Occasionally, for selected matches. Some sales are members-only Face value, €15 to €80 for domestic games Availability is fixture-dependent and may be restricted to members
Club Ticket Exchange Yes, usually from match week. Top games can stay members-only Face value plus 15% plus a value-dependent system fee Supply depends on returns and sells in seconds
Hospitality day ticket Yes €400 to €700 (£339 to £594) Request-based, no instant confirmation
Authorised match-break package Yes, through Champions Travel and Travel Connection Set by the operator, ticket bundled with a hotel Sold as a package, not as a ticket on its own
Ticket through an existing participating fan club Only as a member of that fan club Set by each fan club The 2026/27 fan club allocation is already committed and each fan club controls who gets its tickets
Verified resale marketplace Yes Set by sellers, usually above face value The ticket must be forwarded into your own app account

The draw needs one paragraph and no more. FC Bayern allocates requests by lottery around four to six weeks before the match, according to its 2026/27 ticketing information, and the club's own FAQ says a rejection is more likely than an allocation. By the time most travellers pick a weekend, the request window for that fixture has gone.

Hospitality is the opposite case: expensive and open. The Foyer starts at €400 (£339) and Business Seats Platinum reach €700 (£594) on the club's 2026/27 list, bookable from one person, but you submit a request and wait for an answer.

Match Week on the Ticket Exchange

A smiling FC Bayern fan holding a smartphone displaying available stadium seat blocks on a Ticket Exchange app with the illuminated Allianz Arena in the background at dusk.

The Ticket Exchange is the route most non-members overlook, because for most of the build-up it shows nothing. Season ticket and day ticket holders who cannot attend hand seats back to FC Bayern, the club resells them first come first served and the original ticket is blocked. You buy from the club, not from the holder.

The timing is what matters. FC Bayern says many games are reserved for members, that it usually opens the market to all fans during match week and that top games can be excluded. The club also says the number of tickets, including seats side by side, rises sharply in the days before a game.

  • Register a free FC Bayern account before match week and have a credit card, PayPal or Klarna ready.
  • Check several times a day from the Monday of match week until the Exchange closes three hours before kick-off.
  • Expect "ticket no longer available" messages: the club confirms single seats can sell within seconds.
  • Call the club's service line on a home matchday between 09:00 and 15:00 Munich time if the site fails.

Registration is online and free, so the process is the same from London, Dubai or Riyadh. What you pay is fixed by the club's fee schedule, which makes the true cost easy to work out in advance.

Category Bundesliga face value 15% booking fee System fee Exchange total
Category 1 €80 €12.00 €5 €97.00 (£82)
Category 2 €70 €10.50 €5 €85.50 (£73)
Category 3 €50 €7.50 €5 €62.50 (£53)
Category 4 €40 €6.00 €5 €51.00 (£43)
Category 5 (standing) €15 €2.25 €2 €19.25 (£16)

Totals are worked from the system fees and 15% Exchange fee in FC Bayern's 2026/27 price list as of October 2026, converted at €1 to £0.85 on 7 October 2026. Category 5 covers the standing areas behind the goals, and the Allianz Arena seating plan shows where the other four sit.

What €65 of Membership Buys a Visitor

A fan wearing an FC Bayern scarf outside the Allianz Arena holding a red membership card while looking thoughtfully at his phone. The image displays an infographic asking "What €65 of Membership Buys a Visitor," with graphic overlays showing a ticket draw ballot bowl, a €2.50 discount icon, an official ticket exchange screen, and a calendar highlighting season draw months.

For a single trip, very little. Membership gives three ticket benefits according to FC Bayern's 2026/27 application form: a place in the draw for overbooked games, €2.50 off a full-price seat (not standing, not the DFB-Pokal) and access to sold-out home games on the Ticket Exchange. It does not reserve a ticket for anyone.

The dates work against a late joiner too. FC Bayern uses two entry dates, 1 July and 1 January, and a 1 January entry costs one and a half annual fees. The draw for any given match is also run weeks before most people book. The fees themselves are modest: €65 (£55) for adults aged 26 to 64, €45 for ages 18 to 25 and €35 for under-18s and over-65s, with €15 off if you decline the printed members' magazine.

Membership is most likely to justify its fee for one type of fan: someone who visits Munich several times a season. Members see Exchange listings in the weeks when everyone else sees an empty screen, and that head start is worth more than the draw.

The App Rule That Rewrote Resale in Munich

A fan holding a smartphone displaying a verified FC Bayern ticket QR code at an Allianz Arena entrance turnstile. Graphic overlays show a ticket transfer process, a ~2 weeks timeline, a verified mobile ticket checkmark, and red cross icons over PDF files and screenshots to highlight invalid formats.

Since the opening game of 2026/27, home tickets are issued as app tickets, which FC Bayern says require the FC Bayern app or the Allianz Arena app. The club withdrew PDF tickets and says a screenshot is not enough at the entrance. Tickets must be managed through one of those two apps. Tickets appear in the app around two weeks before each match.

That changes what a non-member should ask before paying anyone. Forwarding is still allowed, but only through the club's Digital Ticket Center or the app's own ticket wallet, and FC Bayern says only the person who ordered a ticket can forward it: a recipient cannot pass it on again. So the first question for any seller is how the ticket will be transferred to an FC Bayern account in your name, and when.

  • Accept: a transfer through the Digital Ticket Center into an account you control or a hospitality booking issued by the club.
  • Refuse: a PDF or a screenshot for any home game this season.
  • Prepare: create your FC Bayern login and install the app before the transfer arrives, and carry photo ID on the day.

Be clear about the risk as well. FC Bayern prohibits commercial resale through unauthorised platforms, while permitted private transfers and authorised partners are exceptions, and the club warns that offers elsewhere may be unauthorised. A marketplace guarantee is therefore a promise about your money, not about the turnstile, and you should read it as one.

Fixtures Where a Non-Member Has a Chance

An infographic titled "Fixtures Where a Non-Member Has a Chance" with fans looking towards the Allianz Arena. Four categorized cards list match difficulties: Hardest (Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal), High Demand (Schalke, Eintracht Frankfurt), More Realistic (Slavia Prague, Real Betis), and Members First (Magdeburg).

Demand is not flat across the season, and the club's own statements show where it peaks. Use the tiers below to decide how early to act and which route fits.

Tier 2026/27 home fixtures What the evidence says
Hardest Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, 31 October 2026), Arsenal (Champions League, 21 October 2026) More than 330,000 requests for Dortmund. Arsenal is priced above every other European night at €130 for Category 1
High demand Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt Named by FC Bayern among its most requested league games
More realistic Slavia Prague (8 December 2026) and Real Betis (27 January 2027) in the Champions League Lower price band of €19 to €100. Midweek 21:00 kick-offs can loosen Exchange supply
Members first DFB-Pokal second round against Magdeburg (Wednesday 28 October 2026, 20:45 CET) Direct sales are members-only as of 7 October 2026. The Ticket Exchange opens only once the game has sold out

For this season's home game against Borussia Dortmund, do not plan around the Exchange opening to non-members: the club says top games can be held back. For a December or January European night, match-week returns are a reasonable plan with resale as the fallback. Whichever game you pick, the Munich matchday guide covers the trip out to the stadium.

FAQs

1. Do children need their own ticket at the Allianz Arena?

  • Every visitor needs a valid ticket regardless of age, and the 50% reduction for under-14s on club sales does not apply to Ticket Exchange purchases as of October 2026.

2. Is there a matchday box office at the Allianz Arena?

  • No, FC Bayern states that sales at the stadium box office are not currently possible, so buying in person on the day is not an option.

3. Does a Bayern match ticket include public transport in Munich?

  • No, travel on Munich's MVV network is not included in FC Bayern match tickets, so buy a separate U-Bahn ticket for the trip to the stadium.

4. How much is a Bayern Munich season ticket in 2026/27?

  • FC Bayern season tickets for 2026/27 cost from €180 (£153) standing to €910 (£772) in Category 1 for 17 Bundesliga home games, but the club is not accepting new applications.

5. Can non-members buy Bayern Munich away tickets?

  • Away allocations are drawn among FC Bayern members and fan clubs and the Ticket Exchange covers home games only, so non-members need the home club's own sale or a resale marketplace.

A non-member's plan for Munich in 2026/27 is short: skip the draw, watch the Ticket Exchange in match week and insist on an app transfer for anything bought elsewhere. 1BoxOffice has operated as a secondary marketplace since 2006 and lists Bayern home games with delivery notes on each listing.
