Buy Max Amini tickets for his December 2026 shows at Dubai Opera, with an early show at 6.30pm and a late show at 10pm on both Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 December. The first night sold out within two days of going on sale, so a second night was added to meet demand.

These are English-language stand-up shows in a 2,000-seat theatre spread across three levels. The listings on this page cover each performance separately, and the wider stand-up comedy tickets calendar shows the other comedians touring the region.
The run sits in the week before Christmas, when Downtown Dubai is at its busiest. Each night carries two shows, so choosing between the early and the late slot is the first decision to make.
| Date | Show | Start Time | What to Know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday 22 December 2026 | Early show | 6.30pm | Sold out at first release; resale is the remaining route in |
| Tuesday 22 December 2026 | Late show | 10pm | Ends close to midnight; plan your ride home |
| Wednesday 23 December 2026 | Early show | 6.30pm | Added after the first night sold out |
| Wednesday 23 December 2026 | Late show | 10pm | The last performance of the run |
The building opens two hours before each show and the auditorium doors open 30 minutes before the start. Both nights are performed in English.
Max Amini has been building a Dubai audience for more than a decade. He played two back-to-back shows in one night at Ductac in Mall of the Emirates in 2014, and in April 2024 an additional date on 10 April was advertised alongside his 12 April show at Zabeel Theatre. He returned to Dubai Opera in April 2025 for separate English and Farsi nights, and in March 2026 a second Dubai Opera show was opened after the first one sold out.
The December run follows the same pattern, with the first night selling out in two days. Add a social following of more than 10 million on Instagram and a sold-out Madison Square Garden headline in February 2026, and demand for each Dubai performance routinely outruns supply. Fans planning a wider night out can compare other dates on the music and show tickets calendar.
| Demand Driver | Why It Matters for Buyers |
|---|---|
| Short run | Two nights only, so there is no later date to fall back on |
| 2,000-seat theatre | A fraction of the capacity of an arena show |
| Track record of added shows | His recent Dubai runs have needed extra performances to meet demand |
| Festive week timing | Residents and holiday visitors compete for the same seats |
| Regional fan base | Persian, Arab, South Asian and Western audiences all follow his work |
Max Amini was born in Tucson, Arizona, to Iranian parents and grew up on the East Coast. He graduated from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television in 2004 and started doing stand-up at the LA Improv in 2002.
In 2010 he launched Exotic Imports, a tour of second-generation American comedians from different cultural backgrounds. His hour-long special Max Amini: Authentically Absurd, directed by Rob Schneider, was released in 2015, and his screen work includes NBC's Heroes and the Netflix series Real Rob. He performs in both English and Persian and became the first Iranian-American comedian to headline Madison Square Garden.
His sets lean on observational comedy, sharp improvisation and stories drawn from multicultural family life. Much of the night is built around the audience itself, with Amini picking people out of the crowd and spinning material from their answers, so no two shows run quite the same way.
The running time for December has not been published. Recent Dubai Opera dates ran for around 90 to 100 minutes without an interval, which is a fair guide. The material is aimed at adults, which is why the venue applies a 16-and-over rule for this run.
| Detail | What to Expect |
|---|---|
| Language | English |
| Running time | Estimated 90 to 100 minutes, no interval, based on recent Dubai Opera dates |
| Age rule | 16 and over only; under-18s must be with an adult aged 18 or over |
| Style | Storytelling, cultural observation and heavy crowd interaction |
| Phones | Switched off or silenced once the show starts; no photography or recording |
Five things decide where a seat sits on price: the level of the theatre, how central it is, which show slot you pick, which night you pick and how close to the date you book. With the 22 December show already sold out at first release, resale seats for this run sit above the original sale price, and the first night is likely to carry the strongest premium.
| Seat Area | Estimated Resale Range | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Circle sides | £65 – £120 | Budget-conscious buyers | Highest level, angled view |
| Grand Circle centre | £85 – £160 | A full view of the stage for less | Front rows give a clear, elevated line of sight |
| Rear and side Stalls | £110 – £220 | Being on the floor of the room | Side blocks sit at a sharper angle |
| Royal Circle | £130 – £260 | Comfort and a clean view | First elevated level, close to the stage |
| Front and centre Stalls | £230 – £480+ | The closest view of the comedian | Prime territory for crowd work |
These ranges are estimates. Prices are set by sellers, and each listing shows its current price, which may change as demand and availability shift closer to the show.
Dubai Opera opened in August 2016 and is shaped like a dhow, the traditional sailing boat of the Gulf, with the stage and seating housed in the bow. In theatre mode it seats around 2,000 people across three levels: the Stalls, the Royal Circle and the Grand Circle. Some seats at the far sides carry a restricted view, so check any view note on a listing before you buy.
For stand-up, distance matters less than angle. A central seat a few rows back sees every expression without being in the firing line, while the front rows put you where Amini goes looking for material.
| Level | Layout | Who It Suits | Guidance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stalls | Ground level, the largest section, rows AA to X, with boxes on either side | Fans who want to be in the room | Centre seats in the middle rows balance view and price |
| Stalls front rows | The rows closest to the stage | Fans who want to be part of the show | Expect to be spoken to if you sit here |
| Royal Circle | First level above the Stalls | Couples and groups who want a calm, elevated view | Front and middle rows give a clean sightline |
| Grand Circle | Second level, a semi-circle of rows A to L | Value seekers | Central seats in the first few rows are strong value |
Dubai Opera sits on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, a short walk from the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall. The area is crowded in festive week, so leave more time than usual, especially for the 6.30pm shows when early-evening traffic is heaviest. To build a longer stay around the show, the Dubai events calendar lists what else is on in the city.
| Route | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Metro | Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station on the Red Line, then around 25 minutes on foot along the boulevard |
| Car | Dedicated basement parking with its entrance on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, open on performance days only; check the current tariff before you drive |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | The easiest option after the 10pm shows, though queues build as the building empties |
| Walking from Downtown hotels | Most Downtown hotels are within a short walk of the Opera District |
Every listing states how and when the tickets arrive. Read the delivery note before you buy, especially if you are flying in close to the date.
| Delivery Type | What to Check |
|---|---|
| Mobile ticket | Confirm the transfer method and keep your phone charged for scanning at the door |
| E-ticket (PDF) | Save a copy offline in case signal is weak in the foyer |
| Print-at-home | Print it before you leave and follow the instructions on the ticket, as a phone copy is not always accepted |
| Collection | Bring photo ID that matches the name on the listing |
Dubai Opera sets its own entry conditions for this show, and they are strictly applied on the night.

1BoxOffice is a verified resale marketplace trading since 2006, and every order is backed by the 150% money-back guarantee: a full refund if your tickets are not received and no alternative is offered, plus a goodwill credit voucher of up to 50% of the order value (excluding fees and taxes, capped at £125) that 1BoxOffice may issue at its discretion. 1BoxOffice is a private secondary marketplace and is not affiliated with Dubai Opera, the show's promoter or any venue.
The run falls in the middle of the festive travel season, so many buyers will be flying in. Mobile and e-ticket listings suit visitors because they do not rely on a local address, while physical tickets need a delivery window that lines up with your arrival. Pairs are seated together wherever possible, but a group of three or more is only guaranteed adjacent seats when the listing says so.
Dubai pairs easily with the capital, around 90 minutes away by road, and the Abu Dhabi events calendar shows what is on there during the same festive week.
For a longer stay, the full United Arab Emirates calendar covers concerts, comedy and sport across the country, so one show can anchor a wider trip.
