On the club's 2025/26 price list, a 23-game adult season ticket in the centre of the upper tier cost £2,112, against £1,231 for the centre of the lower tier, and the match-by-match bands follow the same pattern. That pricing says something first-time visitors often get backwards: the best seats at the Emirates Stadium are not the ones nearest the grass. Add a Clock End that became a licensed standing area this season and a family area that sits inside the same block range, and seat choice in 2026/27 needs more care than the map suggests.
Article Summary: The strongest view at Arsenal's ground is the lower half of the upper tier on the East or West Stand near the halfway line, the loudest area is the Clock End lower tier around block 25 and the seats to avoid are the front rows and back rows of the lower tier. Club Level is the most comfortable ring and the quietest.
- Arsenal's 2025/26 price list put a 23-game adult season ticket at £2,112 in the centre of the upper tier and £1,231 in the centre of the lower tier, and prices rose 3.9 per cent on average for 2026/27.
- Licensed standing opened in the Clock End lower tier for 2026/27 with 6,850 places including the away section, and 6,650 more follow in the North Bank in 2027/28, according to The Stadium Business.
- Arsenal's family area sits in blocks 28, 29 and half of block 30 of the lower tier, and the club's help centre says it is not offered for Champions League games.
- Away supporters at the Emirates Stadium sit in the lower tier of the south-east corner, with just under 3,000 tickets for Premier League matches and around 6,000 for cup ties, according to Football Ground Guide's 15 September 2026 update.
- The Emirates Stadium holds 60,704, a figure the rail-seat conversion leaves unchanged.
The verdicts below draw on seat reviews posted by supporters on A View From My Seat, visiting-fan reports on Football Ground Guide, the club's own help centre and the reporting around the February 2026 ticketing announcement. Where fans disagree, both sides are given. If you already know the area you want, the listings for Arsenal tickets show seats by stand and tier, and the block-by-block Emirates Stadium seating plan covers the tier structure and entrances in full, so this article stays with the judgement calls.
Eight calls before the evidence

The table sets out the eight judgements this guide reaches, in the order the sections deal with them. Block numbers are the ones supporters quote in their own reviews, and checking them against the Emirates Stadium tickets listed by stand and tier is the quickest way to put a price on each verdict.
| # | Verdict | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Strongest view | Upper tier, East or West Stand, lower rows near the halfway line | Both goals in one sightline, more legroom, the club's top price band |
| 2 | Most comfort | Club Level, central blocks | Padded middle ring with lounges, and the quietest seats in the ground |
| 3 | Loudest | Clock End lower tier around block 25 | Ashburton Army, drum and rail seats from 2026/27 |
| 4 | Families | Lower tier blocks 28, 29 and half of 30 | The club's designated family area, with a standing caveat |
| 5 | Worst view | Lower tier rows 1 to 5 and the last few rows under the overhang | Pitch-level angle at the front, clipped sightline at the back |
| 6 | Worst in rain | Front rows of the lower tier | The roof stops short and water drips from the tier above |
| 7 | Worst for sitting down | Clock End lower, the away corner and the North Bank lower | Standing is the norm, now licensed at one end |
| 8 | Closest to the players | Lower tier, West Stand, blocks either side of the halfway line | Tunnel and benches are on this side |
The upper tier costs more for a reason

The lower rows of the upper tier, on either touchline near the halfway line, are the consensus pick for watching the match. Football Ground Guide, updated on 15 September 2026, says a seat in the middle section of the upper tier of the West or East Stand gives one of the strongest viewing positions in the ground and adds that legroom is much better in the upper tier than the lower. Arsenal price it accordingly: for a Category A game the adult ticket was £145 in the centre of the upper tier against £86 in the centre of the lower tier, according to Football365's breakdown of the club's 2025/26 list.
Supporter reviews back the premium. A reviewer in block 91, which A View From My Seat tags as on the halfway line and near the home tunnel, rated row 16 an "amazing view" for Arsenal v Leeds United. A fan in block 102 of the upper tier wrote that the full game was easy to follow, with slightly less atmosphere than the lower level.
The catch is height at the very top. A reviewer in row 32 of block 91 still gave five stars but noted that only one screen was visible and part of the stadium was hidden by the roof line. For marquee games such as Arsenal vs Liverpool tickets, the central upper blocks are typically among the first to go, so the practical choice is often between a lower row further from halfway and a higher row in the middle. Take the lower row.
Club Level: comfort bought with quiet

Club Level is the most comfortable place to watch Arsenal and the least noisy. It is the complete middle ring of the bowl, sold by the club as a premium seasonal product and match by match through hospitality, and Football Ground Guide rates its views as the strongest in the stadium. The trade-off shows up in away reviews: one visiting Watford supporter argued on Football Ground Guide that the corporate ring between the lower and upper tiers takes the edge off the atmosphere for everyone.
For a one-off visit the route in is a package. The Academy, Arsenal's entry-level Club Level product, was listed from £239 per person on 9 September 2026, and the full breakdown of Arsenal hospitality packages and prices sets out what each lounge includes. If singing matters more than a padded seat and a concourse bar, Club Level is the wrong buy at any price.

The Clock End now stands, on purpose

The Clock End lower tier is the loudest part of the Emirates in 2026/27 and the one area where you should not expect to sit. Arsenal confirmed licensed standing on 17 February 2026, and The Stadium Business reported that the first phase covers 6,850 places in the Clock End including the away section, with no change to overall capacity and no movement allowed between standing and seated areas. The club's help centre describes the installation as running between blocks 20 and 29, covering seats 739 to 911, with the front row left out.
This is also where the Ashburton Army stand. The group, more than 200 strong when Pain in the Arsenal profiled it in October 2022, wears black, brings a drum and bases itself in block 25. A supporter in row 11 of block 25 for Arsenal v Wolves described the seat on A View From My Seat as directly behind the group and the atmosphere as "incredible". For a fixture such as Arsenal vs Manchester United tickets in these blocks, you are buying noise first.
The view is the price. A reviewer in block 24 called it brilliant when Arsenal attack that goal and more difficult when play is at the far end. Anyone who wants to sit, film or bring someone who cannot stand for 90 minutes should look elsewhere.
North Bank: the home end waiting for its rails

The North Bank lower tier is the traditional home end. Supporters frequently stand for long periods there, although it will not become a licensed standing area until 2027/28. Arsenal have committed to 6,650 licensed standing places there next season, which takes the total across both ends to around 13,500. Until then the experience is the familiar one: people often stand, the rake is shallow and a seated view may not be available for the full match.
Two things separate it from the Clock End. There is no away section alongside, so the noise is all home support, and the Ashburton Army and their drum are at the opposite end. Supporters who want the singing without the back-and-forth of the away corner tend to prefer this end, and Arsenal vs Newcastle United tickets behind the north goal are typical of what that choice looks like for a big league game.
The family blocks sit inside the standing map

Arsenal's family area is in blocks 28, 29 and half of block 30 in the lower tier, not the wider block range many guides still print. The old Family Enclosure was removed for 2024/25 and replaced by this smaller area in the south-west corner, according to the Arsenal Independent Supporters' Association, and the club's help centre explains that members opt into it through the ballot. Adult members can only sit there when accompanying a Junior Gunner, with a maximum of two adults per junior, and the club's ballot registration guidance says the area is not offered for Champions League games.
The complication for 2026/27 is that blocks 28 and 29 fall inside the block range the club gives for the new licensed standing. Arsenal's own guidance for Arsenal Women fixtures acknowledges that the standing installation overlaps its family block and enforces seating there for those matches. For men's games, check the seat number on any lower Clock End listing against the 739 to 911 range before buying for a child.
Families who want certainty have two better options:
- The upper tier on either touchline, where supporters sit throughout and a child can see over the row in front.
- A fixture that typically draws lower demand, where adjacent seats can be easier to find. Arsenal vs Everton tickets and Arsenal vs Hull City tickets may offer more choice of blocks than a visit from a title rival.
The seats fans warn each other about

The Emirates has no pillars, so the complaints are about angle, height and neighbours. Four recur in supporter reviews:
- Front rows of the lower tier. A reviewer in row 1 of block 20 wrote that the seat was low in relation to the pitch and the opposite touchline was hard to see. A visiting Leicester City fan on Football Ground Guide judged the first 10 rows or so to be very much at pitch level.
- Back rows of the lower tier. The tier above overhangs the last few rows. A visiting supporter in row 28 of block 22 for an Arsenal v Chelsea game reported a fine view of the pitch but could not see the whole bowl, and a Wolves fan advised avoiding the last handful of rows.
- Top rows of the upper tier behind the goals. A Watford fan placed there for a cup tie said it felt miles from the action. The ends and corners are the lower-priced upper-tier bands for that reason.
- Home blocks beside the away corner. A Bolton Wanderers supporter noted how close the two sets of fans are, separated by a narrow line of stewards, which means constant exchanges. Our stadium etiquette guide covers what is and is not acceptable in a home section.
Concert seating is a separate problem. Reviews from stadium shows describe side-on upper blocks with a restricted view of the stage that were not sold as restricted, so football verdicts do not carry over to summer gigs.
Rain and the roof that stops short

Every seat is under the roof, but the front of the lower tier still gets wet. The roof has very little overhang beyond the seating, which Arsenal Web and Gameday Guides both flag, so rain blown in at an angle reaches the front rows on whichever side faces the wind. A supporter in row 3 of block 20 added a second source on A View From My Seat: water dripping from the canopy above as well as the rain itself.
The practical rule is height. Seats from the middle of the lower tier upwards stay dry in all but the worst weather, and the upper tier and Club Level are generally much better sheltered. If the forecast is poor and the only listings left are in the first few rows, a waterproof is part of the ticket price.
Legroom: upper beats lower

Legroom is better in the upper tier than the lower tier, according to Football Ground Guide's September 2026 update, and its reader reviews agree. One visiting supporter wrote that the lower tier offers very little legroom and a shallow rake, while praising the large padded seats. Taller fans who plan to sit for the full match should treat that as a reason to go upstairs, or to choose an aisle seat if the lower tier is the only option.
The away corner, from the fans who stood in it

Away supporters are housed in the lower tier of the south-east corner, entering through turnstiles K and L. Football Ground Guide puts the normal Premier League allocation at just under 3,000 and the cup allocation at around 6,000, and reviewers describe a good view with two caveats: the shallow rake means most of the section stands, and the back rows sit under the overhang. A Manchester City fan seated about 10 rows up thought the tiering too shallow for a clear view.
Cup ties change the map for home fans too. For FA Cup tickets, the visiting club's larger allocation has reached into the upper tier, and the club's accessibility guidance confirms that upper-tier wheelchair areas transfer to the away club for those games. Arseblog reported that Chelsea supporters trialled rail seats in the Clock End upper tier during the League Cup semi-final second leg in February 2026, so anyone buying EFL Cup tickets for a home seat in the south end should check which blocks the visitors have been given.
What the opponent does to the price

Arsenal set general admission prices by match category as well as by seat, and the gap between categories is wider than the gap between tiers. Categories A, B and C were held flat for 2026/27, according to the club's men's ticketing guide, which also introduced B+ for two Premier League tickets fixtures and A+ for possible Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals. Arseblog reported that A+ is priced 15 per cent above Category A.
| Category | Lower tier, behind goal | Lower tier, centre | Upper tier, corner | Upper tier, centre |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | £78 | £86 | £96.80 | £145 |
| C | £31.80 | £34.60 | £39.70 | £59 |
Those are adult member prices from the club's 2025/26 list as reported by Football365 and Goal, carried into 2026/27 by the freeze and checked on 30 September 2026. Category B sat between them, from £44.80 in the lower tier to £84 in the centre of the upper tier. The club's help centre says a 23-game season ticket is made up of six Category A, two B+, 11 B and four C matches, so the category mix matters as much as the seat. The Premier League ticket price index sets Arsenal's prices against the other 19 clubs, and the guide to season tickets covers waiting lists and alternatives.
European nights follow the same logic, and Champions League tickets are priced on the same scale. Arsenal's four home league-phase games are categorised A, B, B and C this season, according to the club. Demand is typically heaviest for marquee opponents, so Arsenal vs Real Madrid tickets may be harder to find in central blocks, while Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund tickets and Arsenal vs Lille tickets can leave a wider choice of blocks. Marketplace prices move with demand and may differ from these face-value bands, so compare by block, not by category label.
Tunnel side: where the players are

The tunnel and both benches are on the West Stand side, so the lower-tier blocks either side of the halfway line there are the closest general admission seats to the players. Gameday Guides notes that block numbering runs continuously round the bowl and that the West Stand picks up both ends of the sequence, which puts the lowest and highest lower-tier block numbers next to each other at halfway. Sit on the East Stand instead and you face the benches from across the pitch.
The closest seats of all are sold as hospitality. Arsenal's club portal lists The Touchline as premium seats behind the Arsenal bench with access to walk out of the tunnel and watch the warm-up. For a league game such as Arsenal vs Leeds United tickets, a lower West Stand seat near halfway can give much of the same proximity at a far lower cost, with the low viewing angle as the trade-off.
Arsenal Women matchdays use a different rulebook

The Clock End standing blocks are seated for Arsenal Women. The club's help centre states that an enforced seating approach applies in those blocks for all Arsenal Women fixtures at the Emirates in 2026/27 and that supporters will not be permitted to stand there. That makes the lower Clock End a sensible family choice for a Women's Super League game in a way it is not for a men's match, and the North Bank remains the designated noisy end for those fixtures.
Accessible positions by tier

Wheelchair viewing areas are spread across all three general tiers. Arsenal's disabled access guidance lists the following:
- Lower tier: 11 areas for home supporters and two for visiting supporters, all at the back of the tier and reached by ramps.
- Upper tier: eight areas, with the personal assistant seated alongside.
- Club Level: three areas for home supporters, with level access from the bar and restaurant areas.
- Ambulant and easy-access seating: generally the rows immediately in front of the wheelchair areas, one or two steps down from the concourse.
Nine lifts serve all levels and a sensory room is open for every game with advance booking. The lower-tier positions sit at the back, under the overhang described above, so the upper-tier areas give the fuller view of the bowl.
Will the map change again?

Yes, at least once. The North Bank lower tier converts to rail seats for 2027/28, which will make the two ends behave alike. Beyond that, chief executive Richard Garlick told BBC Sport that the club is actively looking at options for increasing capacity and making better use of the existing structure, 20 years after the stadium opened, but no plan or date has been published. Supporters comparing grounds can read the same exercise for Manchester United in our guide to the best and worst seats at Old Trafford.
Checking the seat number before you pay

The seat number tells you more than the block at this ground. Numbers run continuously round each tier, and reviews on A View From My Seat place seats 775 and 776 in block 25 and seats 817 and 818 in block 26, so a lower Clock End listing can be tested against the club's 739 to 911 standing range in seconds. Fan photographs exist for most blocks and are worth five minutes before any purchase.
As a rule, Arsenal home league tickets do not reach general sale, and the guide to buying Arsenal tickets without a membership explains the ballots, the exchange and how marketplace listings differ. Visitors planning a trip from the Gulf will find entry requirements, fixture moves and transport covered in the London football weekend guide for Gulf fans. On 1BoxOffice, create an account through 1BoxOffice register before listings for high-demand fixtures appear, since central upper-tier seats for games such as Arsenal vs Manchester City tickets tend to go first, then use track order after payment to follow delivery.
