That 20% gap is the main reason two guides rarely agree on what Newcastle United hospitality packages cost. The 2026/27 list includes a new suite and two city-centre restaurant options, while several names that older guides still print are missing from it.
Article Summary: Hospitality at Newcastle United's St James' Park in 2026/27 covers six in-stadium lounges, two off-site restaurants and executive boxes, including a new suite called Tidings. Published starting prices in Football Ground Guide range from £248 to £871 per person. Club prices are quoted before VAT and places are sold match by match through a four-stage release process with no ballot.
- Newcastle United's single-match hospitality terms state that every price the club quotes excludes VAT, so The Entertainers at from £605 +VAT costs £726 per person on the club's listing in October 2026.
- Football Ground Guide's price list, accessed in October 2026, puts the Barracks from £248, Park Grill from £358, WINGS from £415, Club St. James from £464 and The Rooftops from £871 at St James' Park.
- Tidings and The Rooftops with Fenwick are the only in-stadium lounges on Newcastle United's 2026/27 list with an all-inclusive bar, while WINGS includes one drink on arrival.
- Online hospitality booking for Newcastle United v Sunderland requires a valid NE postcode and a previous booking history with the club, according to Newcastle United's 2026/27 release schedule.
- Newcastle United releases a final hospitality allocation about 30 days before each fixture at St James' Park.
Demand for ordinary seats explains why the lounges matter. The club said in January 2026 that it had more than 35,000 season ticket holders, about 70% of the home crowd at a typical league match, with most of the rest going to the members' ballot. One supporter writing for The Mag in March 2026 reported a queue position above 97,000 in a members' sale. Hospitality sits outside that ballot system, although Newcastle United vs Sunderland on Saturday 5 December 2026 carries separate booking restrictions, covered below.
Six lounges, two restaurants and a row of boxes

The club's 2026/27 spaces list names six lounges inside the stadium, two off-site restaurants and the executive boxes. Tidings is the only new room. The drinks column is where the lounges differ most, because the club's terms treat bar bills as extra unless the package says otherwise.
| Lounge | Where you sit | Food | Drinks in the price | Also included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tidings (new for 2026/27) | Premium seats, Leazes West corner | Seasonal small plates before the match, post-match snack | All-inclusive bar with champagne and cocktails | Pitch-facing booths, live acoustic music, club legend analysis, badge, programme |
| The Rooftops with Fenwick | Premium padded seats, Gallowgate west corner | Savoury and sweet small plates, post-match snack | All-inclusive bar with champagne and cocktails | Post-match DJ, club legend analysis, badge, programme |
| Club St. James | Directors' Box, Milburn Stand | Three-course meal, half-time cheeseboard, post-match snack | Hot drink at half-time | Club legend analysis, badge, programme. Parties under four may share a table |
| WINGS | Padded seats behind the Leazes goal | Three-course bistro menu, post-match hot snack | One beer, wine or soft drink on arrival, half-time refreshment | Club legend analysis, badge, programme |
| Park Grill | Executive seats, Leazes Stand | Three-course bistro menu | Hot drink at half-time | Club legend analysis, badge, programme. Arrive at least an hour before kick-off or the meal is not assured |
| Barracks | Level 4, Milburn Stand | Inclusive street food menu | Speciality drinks options and offers, none stated as included | Live entertainment before and after the match, badge, programme. Open after the match to off-site guests too |
| Gaucho (off-site) | Padded seat, Leazes Stand | Three-course meal at the restaurant | Half a bottle of wine or equivalent | Club legend insights, post-match Barracks access |
| Chaophraya (off-site) | Premium seat, central Leazes | Three-course Thai meal in Eldon Square | Two drinks | Post-match Barracks access |
| Executive boxes | Private balcony | Five courses served through the day | Confirmed on enquiry | Private room for your group |
Two more products are still listed. Shearer's, a private suite in Shearer's Bar with Milburn Stand seats, a two-course hot fork buffet and a 90-minute complimentary bar, has a live single-match listing at from £363 +VAT and appears in the club's package index. The Entertainers, a Level 3 suite with Directors' Box seats and an inclusive drinks package, is listed at from £605 +VAT under a 2025/26 banner. Neither appears on the main 2026/27 spaces list, so check current availability for your fixture.
The off-site restaurants run for a limited selection of fixtures. The club describes them as the route for late bookings when the stadium suites are full. Before choosing between a corner lounge and a goal-end one, check the St James' Park seating plan: Tidings and The Rooftops sit in opposite corners, WINGS and Park Grill are both in the Leazes Stand, while the Barracks and Club St. James face the pitch side-on from the Milburn.
The quoted price is not the price you pay

Clause 7.3 of the club's 2026/27 single-match hospitality terms says all prices it quotes, on its website or by phone, exclude VAT. Football Ground Guide prints VAT-inclusive figures without explicitly labelling the VAT basis. The Entertainers shows the pattern: the club lists £605 +VAT and the guide lists £726, which is the same number with 20% added.
Only two of the club's public listings carried a price in October 2026. The table combines those with Football Ground Guide's list, accessed in October 2026 and read as VAT-inclusive on the evidence above. Every figure is a starting price per person for a league match and moves with the opponent.

The club's own archive gives a baseline. In October 2022 it advertised Park Grill at £260 plus VAT for a league game with Everton, which is £312 with tax. The current £358 starting price is about 15% higher four seasons on. The same notice priced the Barracks at £100 plus VAT for an EFL Cup tie with Crystal Palace, which shows how far a cup night can undercut a league fixture in the same room.
For a regional comparison, Sunderland's lounges started at £170 for a league game in September 2026, although the entry room there sells food separately.
What a Champions League night did to the bill

On 9 March 2026, one day before Newcastle hosted Barcelona in the round of 16 first leg, The Mag recorded the club's own hospitality prices and the seats still on sale. All include VAT. They provide a verified high-end benchmark for single-match hospitality at St James' Park and show which seasonal suites the club opened for a big night.
| Area | Price v Barcelona, March 2026 | Seats unsold the day before |
|---|---|---|
| Park Grill | £435.60 | 26 |
| Shearer's | £469.85 | 2 |
| WINGS | £502.74 | 41 |
| Moncur Suite | £540.54 | 22 |
| Heroes Club | £563.98 | 29 |
| Sir Bobby Robson Suite | £761.12 | 22 |
| The Rooftops | £935.55 | 37 |
Set against the league starting prices above, WINGS and Park Grill cost about a fifth more for Barcelona, while The Rooftops and Shearer's rose by 7% to 8%. The lower-priced rooms carried the larger premium. Park Grill's £435.60 is £363 plus VAT, the same net figure Shearer's is listed at now.
Two lessons carry into this season. First, 179 hospitality seats were still on sale a day before one of the season's biggest home fixtures, so late availability is real even when the ballot is heavily oversubscribed. Second, there is no European football at St James' Park in 2026/27 after a 12th-place finish, so the peak nights are domestic: the derby, then Newcastle United vs Manchester City on 26 December, with Arsenal and Manchester United also due before the new year. All dates are subject to television selection.

A four-stage release and one postcode rule

Hospitality places are not all released at once. The club's 2026/27 release schedule sets out four stages:
- Business Club priority: a limited number of match-by-match places go to Business Club members first.
- General release: a select allocation across all areas went on sale for every fixture on 9 July, online and by phone.
- Phased top-ups: further allocations follow in stages, based on demand.
- Final phase: about 30 days before each fixture, the club releases a last allocation alongside anything unsold.
The 30-day window is the practical one for travelling supporters. A lounge that shows as sold out in September can return in the month before the game.
The release schedule sets no membership condition. Groundhopper Guides also reports that a lounge booking needs neither a membership nor a place in the queue. The exception is the Tyne-Wear derby. To keep its lounges for home supporters, the club requires a valid NE postcode and a previous booking history for anyone booking Sunderland hospitality online. Anyone with questions about eligibility or difficulty booking online is advised to contact the sales team on 0191 201 8444. Our guide to buying Newcastle United tickets without a membership covers the ballot and members' sale for ordinary seats.
Refunds, dress code and the other small print

The 2026/27 single-match terms are stricter than most buyers expect, above all on fixture changes.
- Cooling off: a consumer who books online can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, subject to restrictions. Business bookings have no such right.
- Moved fixtures: if the date changes, you can attend the new date at no extra charge or ask to cancel within five working days of being told. An accepted cancellation refunds 80% of the price.
- Late changes: if a match is rearranged 48 hours or less before the original kick-off, you can still cancel but no refund is paid.
- Abandoned matches: if play is abandoned after you are admitted and the match is replayed, attending again costs a further 50% of the original price.
- Travel costs: flights and hotels lost to a rescheduled match are not covered.
- Bar bills: drinks beyond the package are charged on the day.
The club's dress code is smart casual in most areas. Smart jeans, trainers and replica Newcastle shirts are accepted. Tracksuits, ripped jeans, shorts, flip-flops, foam or rubber clogs, offensive T-shirts and away club colours are refused at the door. Children under 12 are exempt. Accessibility requirements should go to the hospitality team before the fixture, not on the day.
Which lounge suits which matchday

Start from the day you want, then check whether the room is on sale for your fixture.
- Lowest entry price: the Barracks. Level 4 Milburn Stand seats, an inclusive street food menu and live entertainment, with drinks bought at the bar.
- A sit-down meal without the top-tier bill: Park Grill or WINGS. Both serve three courses. WINGS adds a drink on arrival and a post-match snack, Park Grill sits higher in the same stand.
- All-inclusive drinks: The Rooftops with Fenwick or Tidings. Both are corner lounges built around a central bar and small plates instead of a seated meal.
- Clients or a milestone birthday: Club St. James for a three-course meal and Directors' Box seats.
- A late booking: Gaucho or Chaophraya, when the club offers them for your fixture.
- A private group: an executive box, priced on enquiry through the hospitality team.
