Seatsbay is operated by Luxury Events LTD, a private company incorporated in Gibraltar on 8 August 2017 under number 116083, registered at Suite 5, 39 Irish Town. The same company runs Ticketgum, and the connection is not hidden: Seatsbay's own FAQ page refers to the "Ticketgum Team", and the two sites share near-identical design and policy text.
Who owns and directs the business is another matter. Gibraltar's register is closed to free public searches, so directors cannot be checked the way a UK Companies House filing can. Contact is limited to email and live chat, and the Irish Town address is a registered office, not a trading base.
Why clubs tell supporters to stay away
Seatsbay appears by name on unauthorised-seller lists published by Tottenham Hotspur and the British and Irish Lions for the 2025 tour of Australia. Under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, unauthorised resale of designated UK football tickets is a criminal offence, which is why platforms of this kind sit offshore, a status Seatsbay shares with the marketplace in our viagogo review.
The legal exposure lands on the buyer, whose ticket can be cancelled and whose entry refused, with the club under no obligation to refund a purchase it never sanctioned. One Trustpilot reviewer described being turned away at Tottenham after stewards identified the tickets as fake.
A review record with no middle ground
As of July 2026 Seatsbay holds a 4-star Trustpilot score from 135 reviews, and the shape matters more than the number. Roughly 46% of reviewers award five stars and 35% award one, a barbell pattern Scamadviser flags as characteristic of manipulated profiles even while its automated check rates the site as likely safe. Sitejabber is bleaker: 2.7 stars from 17 reviews.
Happy customers report last-minute seats for sold-out games, responsive live chat and tickets that scanned without fuss. The unhappy ones describe orders cancelled days out and the same seats relisted at higher prices, refunds pushed as vouchers rather than cash and delivery landing only hours before the match. The company answers most complaints publicly, usually to dispute rather than resolve them.

The Ticketgum collapse changes the calculation
Through late 2025 and early 2026, Ticketgum buyers received emails saying orders could not be fulfilled because of internal restructuring, with a 120% voucher offered instead of a cash refund. By 29 May 2026 the ticketgum.com domain had been sold to Anyseats, an unrelated business that publicly disclaims every liability, order and voucher of the previous operator.
Because Seatsbay runs on the same Gibraltar company, that collapse is not background noise. When a reseller folds, customer money tends to vanish with it, as we documented in our WowTickets review. There is no confirmed evidence yet that Seatsbay has stopped fulfilling orders, but its corporate parent is visibly distressed.
Where the honest verdict lands
Seatsbay is not a fake shop, but it is a high-risk one: an unauthorised reseller with unverifiable ownership, a polarised complaint record and an operator group already failing customers under another name. Anyone proceeding regardless should pay by credit card only, never bank transfer, and keep every confirmation as chargeback evidence.
