FC Barcelona sell a ticket category called "1st Goal North Reduced Visibility". The label exists because the front rows of the Gol Nord first tier lost sight of the near goal line after the stand reopened in March 2026. That is the starting point for any honest list of the best and worst seats at Camp Nou this season: the stadium is still being built, only the first and second tiers are open and the view varies more from block to block than at any finished ground in Europe.

Article Summary: The strongest seats on sale at Spotify Camp Nou in 2026/27 are the central second-tier blocks on either touchline, sold as "2nd Grandstand Central" in the Tribuna and "2nd Side Central" in the Lateral. The weakest are the front rows of the Gol Nord first tier, the deepest first-tier rows under the second-tier overhang and the blocks beside the away enclosure. The third tier is not on sale this season.

  • Licensed capacity at Spotify Camp Nou has been 62,652 since the Phase 1C permit of March 2026, according to The Stadium Business and Inside World Football.
  • FC Barcelona's Joan Sentelles put the number of reduced-visibility seats in the Gol Nord at 150 to 200 for LaLiga matches and 300 to 350 for Champions League nights, as reported by El Desmarque in March 2026.
  • Basic face value for the Clásico on 25 October 2026 ran from 499 euros in the first-tier goal blocks to 899 euros in the second-tier Tribuna, per the club ticket screen captured by 9campnou on 29 September 2026.
  • Sport reported on 30 September 2026 that FC Barcelona will not open any third-tier seats during 2026/27, with the VIP ring between the second and third tiers due to add about 6,000 to 8,000 seats in phases.
  • Gol 1957, the rail-seated supporters' section, sits in the first tier of the Gol Sud and opened on 15 March 2026 with around 800 members.

Most seat guides still describe the 105,000-seat stadium that does not exist yet. They recommend third-tier blocks that are fenced off, place the singing section in the wrong end and quote 30-euro upper-tier prices that nobody can buy. This guide covers what is on sale now: the open tiers, the categories the club actually uses, the blocks fans complain about and the rows worth paying extra for. Where current listings for Barcelona tickets use the club's own category names, those names are used here too, and the Spotify Camp Nou seating plan covers the full layout of the finished bowl if you want the long version.

Nine verdicts before the detail

Wide-angle stadium view with numbered callouts pinpointing key seating sections, stand levels, and sightlines across Spotify Camp Nou.

The table ranks every open area of the stadium from the seat most people should buy to the seat most people should avoid. The ranking weighs view, atmosphere and price for a first-time or occasional visitor. A regular who wants to sing for 90 minutes will rank Gol Sud higher; a photographer will rank the Tribuna lower.

Rank Area and club category Verdict
1 Lateral, second tier centre ("2nd Side Central Lower") Complete view of both goals, faces the dugouts, lower-priced than the Tribuna equivalent
2 Tribuna, second tier centre ("2nd Grandstand Central Lower") The broadcast angle, shaded for afternoon kick-offs, the highest general-sale price
3 Second-tier corners ("Corner 2 Superior" and "Corner 2 Inferior") Diagonal but complete view, the value pick while the top tier is shut
4 Lateral or Tribuna, first tier centre ("1st Side" and "1st Grandstand") Closest to the players, flatter view of the far side, avoid the rearmost rows
5 Gol Sud, first tier beside Gol 1957 ("1st Goal South") The noisiest home seats, end-on view, expect to stand
6 Gol Nord and Gol Sud, second tier ("2nd Goal") Height compensates for the end-on angle, usually the lowest-priced seats with a full view
7 First-tier rear rows under the second-tier overhang Covered from rain, but the overhang cuts off the top of the stadium and the big screens
8 Blocks beside the away enclosure (north-east corner, mid-height) Perspex screens, segregation lines and sales paused when the allocation grows
9 Gol Nord, first tier front rows ("1st Goal North Reduced Visibility") Cannot see the near goal line or the penalty spot; buy only with eyes open

What is open this season, and what is not

Stadium construction update diagram marking the first and second tiers open, while the third tier, roof, and VIP ring remain closed.

Spotify Camp Nou is licensed for 62,652 spectators in 2026/27 and that figure has not changed since the Phase 1C permit granted on 10 March 2026, per The Stadium Business and Inside World Football. The first and second tiers are open on all four sides. The Gol Nord was the last of the four to return, opening for the Sevilla match on 15 March 2026. Everything above the second tier, the VIP ring, the third tier and the roof, remains a building site.

The club's own timetable has slipped twice this year. StadiumDB reported in April 2026 that the Lateral third tier would open at the end of September. Football Ground Guide described capacity as frozen for 2026 in its August update. Then Sport, cited by El Desmarque on 30 September 2026, reported that no third-tier seats would open at all this season, with the club prioritising the VIP ring between the second and third tiers. Vice-president Ferran Olive told the same outlet the season would end "close to 70,000", which counts roughly 8,000 hospitality seats on top of the 62,652 general seats. Ravelo Deporte, reporting club sources on 13 October 2026, went further and said capacity for general sale would not rise at all in 2026/27. The practical rule for buyers is simple: if a listing for a 2026/27 match at Spotify Camp Nou describes a third-tier seat, treat the listing as wrong.

Reading a Camp Nou ticket label before you buy

Smartphone displaying a digital Camp Nou ticket with annotations explaining tier, zone, row, seat numbers, and reduced visibility warnings.

FC Barcelona sell by sector, not by seat. You choose a category such as "2nd Side Central Upper" and the club assigns the row and seat number later, which is why two friends buying the same category on the same day can end up in row three and row 18. The category label carries four pieces of information and they are worth decoding before you compare listings for LaLiga, Champions League or Copa del Rey matches.

  • The leading number is the tier: "1st" is the primera graderia at pitch level, "2nd" is the segona graderia above it. No "3rd" category is on sale in 2026/27.
  • The stand name follows: "Grandstand" is the Tribuna on the west side, "Side" is the Lateral on the east, "Goal North" and "Goal South" are the two ends and "Corner" sits between them.
  • "Central" marks the blocks between the two penalty areas, and these are the blocks worth paying for on a long side.
  • "Upper" and "Lower" (or "Superior" and "Inferior" on Spanish screens) split each tier into its back half and front half. On the first tier, "Lower" means closer to the pitch but a flatter view; on the second tier, "Lower" is usually the better of the two.
  • "Reduced Visibility" is a warning, not a marketing flourish. The club applies it to seats where advertising boards or the stand geometry block part of the pitch.

Seat numbers inside a block run odd on one side of the access stairway and even on the other, so seats 22 and 24 are next to each other while 22 and 23 are not. A group that wants to sit together should check the numbers follow the same parity when the allocation arrives. Tickets are digital, so the allocation arrives on your phone rather than in the post.

Touchline seats: the second-tier centre wins

Evening wide shot of Spotify Camp Nou highlighting optimal central seating zones, including Tribuna 2 Central and Lateral 2 Central.

The central second-tier blocks on either long side are the seats to buy if you want to read the match. From "2nd Side Central Lower" in the Lateral the whole pitch sits in front of you, both penalty areas are visible without turning your head and the elevation is enough to see the shape of the press. The Lateral faces the dugouts and the tunnel, which both sit on the Tribuna side, so you watch the home bench rather than sit above it. At the Clásico price point captured on 29 September 2026, "Lateral 2 Central Superior" was listed at 849 euros against 899 euros for the equivalent "Tribuna 2 Superior" block, according to 9campnou.

The Tribuna second tier is the broadcast angle. The presidential box, the press area and the premium lounges sit below and around you, which keeps the atmosphere quieter than anywhere else in the ground. The Tribuna faces east, so for an afternoon kick-off the sun sits behind the stand and the seats stay in shade while the Lateral opposite looks into the glare. That orientation is the main reason the Tribuna commands a premium over the Lateral for daytime matches, and the main reason to pick the Lateral for Barcelona vs Real Madrid on 25 October 2026, an evening Clásico, or for a Champions League tie when the sun is irrelevant. Real Madrid supporters belong in the away enclosure rather than in those blocks.

First tier central: closer, flatter and mind the overhang

Ground-level view from the front rows as Barcelona players dribble past defenders near the sideline.

The first-tier centre is the seat for people who want to hear the game. From the front rows of "1st Side Central" or "1st Grandstand Central" you see the pace of the passing and the size of the players in a way the second tier never gives you. The trade-off is the rake. The primera graderia is shallow by design, so the far touchline flattens out and a counter-attack down the opposite wing is hard to follow. Spanish press reports in March and April 2026 also put the new seats at 41 centimetres wide with aisles of about 1.80 metres, narrower than socios expected, even though the club had promised seats two to three centimetres wider than the old stadium in the first tier.

The rows to avoid are the deepest ones. The second tier overhangs the back of the first, which keeps the rain off but cuts away the top of the stadium and the giant screens once they are hung from the roof. Crónica Global reported in November 2025 that the Lateral had already lost two rows to the television advertising boards, so the first-tier blocks there are slightly shorter than the renders suggest. "1st Side" was listed from 899 euros for the Clásico in the 29 September 2026 snapshot, the same as the top second-tier Tribuna price, which makes the deep rows poor value when a central second-tier seat costs the same.

Corners: the value pick while the top tier is shut

Elevated corner view of the pitch and surrounding open seating tiers during match play at Spotify Camp Nou.

In a finished Camp Nou the lowest-priced full view would be the front of the third tier. With that tier closed, the second-tier corners are the strongest value on general sale. "Corner 2 Superior" was listed from 649 euros for the Clásico on 29 September 2026, 250 euros below the equivalent Tribuna block. For an ordinary league match such as Barcelona vs Alaves on 31 October 2026 the club's absolute prices are far lower, and the order of the categories can shift: on the club screen for that match in October 2026, "Gol 2 Superior" was listed at 261 euros, below "Gol 1" at 271 euros. Secondary listings move independently of face value, so compare them by section on the day rather than by any fixed ratio. The view is diagonal, so one goal is close and one is distant, but nothing is hidden and the height means you see the full width of the pitch.

Corners also hold their value for the bigger fixtures. For Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid in February 2027, a corner on the Gol Sud side puts you beside the noise without the end-on angle, while the corners nearest the Gol Nord sit closest to the Atletico Madrid away enclosure and are the ones to treat with care. Which corner you get is decided by the club's allocation, so if you have a preference, say so at the point of purchase and accept that it may not be met.

Gol Sud and Gol 1957: where the noise is

Crowded goal-end stand filled with fans waving FC Barcelona flags and holding up team scarves behind the net.

The Gol Sud first tier is the home end. Gol 1957, the rail-seated supporters' section, opened there on 15 March 2026 for the Sevilla match in a provisional format for about 800 members drawn from the Almogavers, Nostra Ensenya, Front 532 and Supporters Barca groups, according to the club statement reported by El Nacional. The planned section is 1,247 rail seats. Gol 1957 itself is members-only, but the first-tier blocks either side of it are on general sale under "1st Goal South" and they inherit the atmosphere. Gol 1 blocks were listed from 499 euros for the Clásico on 29 September 2026, the lowest of the basic categories on that screen.

Two warnings apply. First, the view is end-on and low, so play at the far end is hard to read; the fans around you will be standing for most of the match, which matters less when you cannot see the far goal anyway but matters a great deal to anyone who wants to sit. Second, this is the end where the derby against Espanyol is loudest, and visiting colours in these blocks will get you moved by stewards. Our stadium etiquette guide covers the unwritten rules of a Spanish home end.

The second-tier goal blocks at both ends are the quiet alternative. "2nd Goal" seats sit high enough to see the whole pitch, the angle still favours one end, and they tend to be the lowest-priced seats that give a complete view. For a family or a first visit on a budget they beat the first-tier goal blocks for view.

The seats fans warn each other about

Pitch-level view behind an LED advertising board showing fans watching players on the pitch during a match at Spotify Camp Nou.

The worst seats on sale at Spotify Camp Nou are the front rows of the Gol Nord first tier. When the stand reopened for the Sevilla match in March 2026, photographs taken from those rows went viral within days: the pitch-side advertising boards sat higher than the sightline, so the near goal line and the penalty spot vanished. StadiumDB and Threads carried the images, and the club responded by creating the "1st Goal North Reduced Visibility" category and withholding some seats from sale altogether. Joan Sentelles of FC Barcelona told El Desmarque on 23 March 2026 that the problem affected 150 to 200 seats on LaLiga nights and 300 to 350 when the taller Champions League "U" boards are installed. Crónica Global reported on 7 April 2026 that some of those seats were not being sold at all.

The deep first-tier rows discussed above are the second group to avoid, and the blocks beside the away enclosure are the third. The away section sits at mid-height in the north-east corner behind perspex screens, and when an allocation grows the club pauses sales in the adjoining blocks, as it did when Newcastle United's allocation rose from 2,215 to 2,986 in March 2026. Buy a seat there and you may find a segregation line, a line of stewards and a visiting choir between you and the game.

Three further complaints recur across fan forums, Spanish press and TripAdvisor threads. The 41-centimetre seat width noted above is the most common. The second is wheelchair sightlines, covered below. The third is weather: the stadium has no roof, and during the LaLiga match against Real Oviedo on 25 January 2026 water poured through the unfinished roof structure onto spectators, according to Goal. None of these problems is unique to Camp Nou in a rebuild. Our guides to the seats at Anfield and Old Trafford record the same pattern of overhangs, pillars and narrow seats; the difference here is that the problems are temporary and the club has labelled them.

Sun, rain and an open roof

Rain falling over spectators in covered lower-stand seats at Spotify Camp Nou during ongoing roof and upper-tier construction.

Until the roof goes on in 2027 the bowl is effectively open to the sky. The pitch runs roughly north to south, the Tribuna sits on the west side and the Lateral on the east. For a 16:15 Saturday kick-off in autumn the sun is in the south-west, so the Tribuna is in shade and the Lateral faces the light; by an evening kick-off, direct sunlight becomes less of a concern, depending on the date and the stadium's construction. Gol Nord and Gol Sud get side light at both times of day. Cholismo Lab's guide makes the right point: no stand should be sold as permanently shaded while the stadium is unfinished, because the construction above the second tier changes the shadows from month to month.

Rain is the bigger risk in a Barcelona autumn. The only covered seats are the rear rows of the first tier under the second-tier overhang, which are the same rows this guide ranks seventh for view. If you are travelling in October or November and the forecast is poor, that trade is worth making; if the forecast is clear, take the second-tier seat and a jacket.

Where away fans sit in 2026/27

View of the upper-stand away fans section, enclosed behind safety netting and glass barriers within Spotify Camp Nou.

Visiting supporters sit in a fenced corner at mid-height in the north-east of the ground, between the Gol Nord and the Lateral, behind perspex screens, with entry through Entrance L on the north side. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) requires at least five per cent of capacity for away fans in its competitions, which is why Aston Villa for Barcelona vs Aston Villa on 3 November 2026 and Manchester City for Barcelona vs Manchester City on 8 December 2026 will each have a proper allocation. LaLiga sets no such minimum, and Athletic Club received no tickets at all for the reopening match in November 2025. When the third tier eventually opens, El Espanol reported in May 2026 that the away section will move up there and the corner will return to home sale.

Away fans who buy outside the allocation sit in home areas at their own risk. FC Barcelona's entry conditions allow stewards to relocate, refuse entry to or eject visiting supporters found in home sections, whether or not their colours are visible, so the away allocation is the only place a visiting fan should be sitting. Our away matchday guide to Barcelona covers the travel, the meeting points and the police escort.

Wheelchair positions and step-free access

Photo collage illustrating accessible matchday features at Spotify Camp Nou, including designated wheelchair seating platforms, ramps, elevators, and accessible parking spaces.

Wheelchair positions in the reopened stadium sit behind the last row of the first tier, which is level with the main concourse and step-free from the gates. The weakness is the sightline: Crónica Global reported on 31 May 2026 that wheelchair users lose their view whenever the row in front stands up, which at a Spanish ground happens often. Requests for accessible seats, companion tickets and parking go through the club's specialised services office rather than the general ticket screen, and secondary listings rarely carry accessible positions, so buyers who need one should start with the club.

Hospitality: what the premium ring offers now

VIP dining area inside an executive suite overlooking the pitch during a match at Spotify Camp Nou.

The hospitality spaces between the first and second tiers are open on both long sides, led by the Pitch Club on the Tribuna side. These are the seats behind the "Pitch Row", "Players Zone" and "Balcony" products, with the Balcony being the first two rows of the second tier. The VIP ring between the second and third tiers is the part still closed, and it holds the Loge seats and the VIP Ring Seats in the corners. Club releases from 2023 and 2024 priced the Loge seats at 45,000 to 87,000 euros a season and the VIP Ring Seats at 5,500 to 9,000 euros, with the Players Zone, Pitch Row and Balcony tiers at 8,000 to 22,000 euros, and FC Barcelona said at the VIP Ring Seats launch that all 144 Loge seats and the boxes had sold out.

Match-by-match hospitality is thin while the ring is shut, which is why Clásico packages were advertised from about 1,750 euros a head in October 2026, according to Cholismo Lab. Compared with the mature hospitality market at the Santiago Bernabeu, Camp Nou is a year away from a normal premium offer. For 2026/27, the honest premium choice for a non-member is a central second-tier seat and a restaurant booking in Les Corts.

What face value tells you, and what it does not

Infographic mapping seat face-value prices across Camp Nou sections alongside a graphic comparing face value versus secondary market resale prices.

FC Barcelona price by demand rather than a fixed grid, so the same seat can cost three times as much for the Clásico as for a midweek cup tie. The table below is the club's basic price screen for Barcelona vs Real Madrid on 25 October 2026, captured by 9campnou on 29 September 2026, and it is useful mainly for the gaps between sections on that fixture. For an ordinary league match the absolute numbers fall sharply and the order of the categories is not fixed, as the Alaves example above shows; the piece on how LaLiga and Premier League ticket prices compare sets out the typical range.

Club category Area Basic price from (EUR) Approximate GBP
Gol 1 First tier, both ends 499 about 420
Corner 2 Superior Second tier, corners 649 about 550
Lateral 2 Superior Second tier, Lateral, outer blocks 799 about 675
Lateral 2 Central Superior Second tier, Lateral, central blocks 849 about 720
Lateral 1 First tier, Lateral 899 about 760
Tribuna 2 Superior Second tier, Tribuna 899 about 760

GBP figures use a rate of about 1.18 euros to the pound as of October 2026 and are rounded. Public sale for a Clásico is restricted, which is why most non-members end up on the secondary market; the guide to buying Barcelona tickets without a membership and the wider one on LaLiga tickets without a club membership cover the routes. As of October 2026, the lowest listing on 1BoxOffice for the Clásico was 1,155.44 pounds, for Alaves on 31 October it was 180.58 pounds and for Manchester City on 8 December it was 533.28 pounds. Those are lowest-available figures across the whole ground, not prices per section, and they move daily. The piece on why El Clásico draws such a large audience explains the demand behind the premium.

Reading a listing before you pay

Smartphone interface showing seat selection options and price tiers, paired with visual warnings for restricted view and third-tier seats.

A secondary listing is only as good as its category label. A seat sold as "Longside" or "Corner" with no tier and no central marker could be anything from a 2nd Side Central seat to a deep first-tier row, so ask for the club category before paying a premium. A listing that names a third-tier block, a "3rd" category or a sector number above the second tier is describing a seat that cannot be delivered this season. A listing marked "Reduced Visibility" or "RV" should be priced well below the rest of the goal blocks, and if it is not, walk away.

On 1BoxOffice each listing is described by section, and you can track your order through to delivery of the digital pass. If no alternative is offered and the original tickets are not received, the buyer is eligible for a full refund and may also receive a credit voucher worth 50 per cent of the order value, excluding fees and taxes and capped at 125 pounds, which is the basis of the 150 per cent guarantee.

What changes in 2027/28

Panoramic aerial render of the completed Spotify Camp Nou stadium set against the Barcelona cityscape and coastline, with fans walking up access steps in the foreground.

The roof is the next milestone. StadiumDB reported in July 2026 that the roof lift is planned from June 2027, Sport put the job at about four and a half months, and that is why FC Barcelona have asked LaLiga for permission to play the first half of 2027/28 back at the Estadi Olimpic on Montjuic. LaLiga's answer was pending in October 2026. Once the roof is on, three giant screens hang from it, the sun and rain questions in this guide are greatly reduced and the overhang rows stop being the only dry seats.

The third tier follows. When it opens, the away section moves up there, the north-east corner returns to home sale, the lowest-priced full-view seats move to the top of the ground and the second-tier corners lose their status as the value pick. The club's Espai Barca updates now plan the return from Montjuic for January 2028, with the remaining work on the full 105,000-seat bowl running into the 2028/29 season. The seat rankings above are therefore a snapshot of a stadium that will be ranked differently once the third tier and the roof are in use, which is a good argument for seeing it now, while the view from the second tier still takes in the cranes. For how it compares with the rest of the country's grounds, the roundup of Spain's best football stadiums is the place to look.

FAQs

1. Which side of Camp Nou is in the shade for an afternoon kick-off?

  • The Tribuna on the west side is in shade for afternoon kick-offs because the sun sets behind it, while the Lateral opposite faces the light until the roof is installed in 2027.

2. Can I choose my exact seat number at Camp Nou?

  • FC Barcelona sell by category and assign the row and seat number afterwards, so buyers choose a sector such as "2nd Side Central Upper" rather than a specific seat.

3. Will my group be seated together at Camp Nou?

  • Seats bought in one order are normally allocated together, and because odd and even seat numbers run on opposite sides of the stairway, adjacent seats carry numbers two apart such as 22 and 24.

4. Can I wear away colours in the home sections at Camp Nou?

  • FC Barcelona's entry conditions allow stewards to move, refuse or remove visiting supporters found in home areas, so visiting supporters should buy within the away allocation rather than rely on covering their colours.

5. Is there standing at Camp Nou?

  • Rail seating exists only in Gol 1957, the members-only supporters' section in the Gol Sud first tier, and every other seat in the stadium is a conventional fold-down seat even if the fans around it stand.

Spotify Camp Nou in 2026/27 is a stadium that rewards buyers who read the category label. A central second-tier seat on either touchline gives the complete view, the second-tier corners give the value and the Gol Sud gives the noise; the Gol Nord front rows give a reason to check before you pay. 1BoxOffice lists Barcelona matches by section, and the 150 per cent guarantee described above applies to eligible orders.
